We are getting married 5/23/14 at East Wind. Are there any other East Wind brides here?

Nice! I am working with Mike and I am in the Estate. I have been working with Alyssa with my hotel block. I started booking my rooms right away so far I have 23 booked. I knew I would have a lot of people that wanted to stay and I didnt want to risk another wedding booking the rooms before I did!

I'll be at the expo with my MOH! This one is the 'metro bridal expo' which I guess is different somehow? She's never seen East Wind and I want to sample the food as much as possible so I definitely want to go again. I'm so happy that they have them so often, eventually I'm hoping that one of them will coincide with one my FH's days off. His schedule rotates and he only has weekends off every 3 months.

I went to a few expos there and they were great. I love the food! We are going to see each other before the ceremony so that we don't miss our cocktail hour! lol

The metro expo was different not as much food at all :( There is another one in march. I want to know if the will have a bigger array!! Going all the way there for just the pasta bar isnt worth it! lol

Yeah the metro expo was pretty blah. The last bridal show I went to with my mom was great and there was a lot of food, the next one is at the end of this month. FH still hasn't been to one so I think he wants to go and try the food.
@Serenalee we're doing a first reveal so we don't miss the cocktail hour too! I want all the pictures done so we can both enjoy ourselves

Yeah we're getting married there, I really thought FH would want a church wedding considering he went to catholic school but he never pushed the issue. Go figure! lol

Wow! That's awesome! I JUST did my block yesterday at the Hilton garden inn in riverhead, it was $119/night and east wind was $179. My mom and FMIL thought more people would be inclined to stay if it was cheaper. I wish my family wasn't cheapskates and would be willing to stay at east wind!

Re: Any East Wind Brides?
I have to look up the Hilton Garden Inn because I don't want people spending so much just to stay over. I only got the price for the room block this year when my wedding was originally scheduled. I will have to call and see what it will be like next year. I am assuming around the same price though. It was a lot though it was like almost $300.

I'm working with Melissa at the HGI and she's been very helpful with everything. She always gets back to me quickly which is a big plus for me since I have been doing a majority of my wedding planning via email. You might have to wait until your date is a year away for them to give you a price but I'm not 100% sure on that. If you want I can give you her email address
