Any negative reviews for Duet Photography? And If you have a link to your proofs

Hello all... I've read lots of positive feedback about Duet Photography, but now for the negatives... Who was'nt as happy as they should have been? What were the reasons and who shot the pictures?

Also, If you have links to your proofs... Please share them... Thanks Ladies...

Try reading the Bride's Review.

My cousins, KL805 & Lauren16 both used Duet, and I believe both scanned some proofs on the Review.

I am using them too, and feel very confident after witnessing their work at these weddings.

I'm using them, I have heard some girls say their quality is not as good as b4. Could it be because they are getting so popular and overbooking? Some girls say that it's taking longer to get proofs from them and their service after the wedding takes abit longer than usual - ie, if you decide to get an album after the wedding.

Shrugs, I hope those instances represent only a tiny minority. :)

I booked Duet and have have total confidence in their work.

I think we should remember that because Duet has become so popular and soooo many brides on LIW and also there are ones we don't know about- that we should keep in mind that there may be some delays.

I recently spoke with them and they said that they are upgrading their equipment and looking into newer and better albums and things.

Duet Rocks....

Do a search under 'Duet Brides' - there is a title of a thread called Duet Brides which does list some negatives about Duet. There seem to be a few girls who were not happy with their pictures and they are very detailed in their reviews of duet on this thread. I am in the same boat - trying to figure out if I should book them. The sense that I get is that they have become very popular - largely because of this site. A couple of years ago, they were very reasonably priced and that's one reason they were popular. Now their prices have increased (in my opinion, dramatically!) and seems like they are not as good of a deal as previously. I still might book them, but I am going through the same decision process. Check out that thread and let me know what you think after reading....

when i originally looked into them, i wasn't impressed with their quality and originality. it just wasn't of the same caliber as others.

that's not to say they don't take nice photos--i just wasn't impressed.

there are a lot of photographers who are less expensive and whose quality i liked better. it's a personal decision. the language barrier is a HUGE problem in my opinion, but others don't seem to mind.

We didn't book with them for a variety of reasons. However, one thing that really bothered us was their refusal to allow you to meet the wedding day photographer until he showed up the day of!

same here, I met my photographer during our e-pics and you meet with them before the wedding to go through your must-have list.

There have been some complaints from recent brides (check the newlywed board). However, remember that brides post their best pictures on this website so it is unrealistic for each and every one of your proofs to be 'amazing'.

I agree 100%. Many brides on here are comparing their photos to others. You have to remember that no one will love a vendor 100%. The brides are posting their best pics.

As long as you give them your must take pics why compare? If they miss something that is your fault for not listing it. You also must leave room for ceativity.

i think duet does great work for the price!! i think some brides may just have unrealistic expectations when they are seeing the 'best of the best' on this website. there are some other photography studios in the same price point category as duet, and their work is not nearly as beautiful!! so duet brides, i personally dont think you have anything to worry about!!

I agree with you as well.

I have heard to many complaints that 'my photogrpaher didn't get this pics and blabl blah blah'
I plan on giving jay of Duet a photo package which will include a list of must take pics and all some 'real' pictures that I want to recreate!!

I suggest we all be VERY anal about our what instructions we give our photographers!!!!!!

so do I. I met my photographer before! and I love my engagement pictures.. it's very natural.
