Any one like their MIL?

So we hear all the MIL bashing..is there anyone that can honestly say they like/get along with their MIL?

it took her a while to warm up to me, but she is lovely. i think she was just worried about her son at first. i think she sees that he has done nothing but great things since we started dating.

we get along nicely and she treats me nicely and that is all that i can ask for. we won't be best friends, but that is ok.

I love mine!! We always got along. Of course she annoys me every now and then... but no complaints right now

I like mine..we get along good and have from the beginning. Sometimes I feel like she gives her opinion when its not asked.

I love mine as well-but I feel the same way-sometimes I feel like she has 1 too many opinions-which drives me nuts, but other than that, she's wonderful!

We get along & she is a good person. But she is a serious drama queen. My FH says just ignore her.

Same here.

Same for me too!!! I don't think we're nearly as alone as we think on this one. Sometimes I feel like saying 'I'm a grown woman, not a little girl, and I know what I want/don't want!!!'

Same for me too. I guess MIL gotta have their say.

Its is so nice to read a thread where most of us actually love our FMIL or MILs!!

I adore my MIL .. she is an awesome lady. From the first day I met her she welcomed me into the family and we got really close really quickly.. In some ways , I think I get along with my MIL BETTER than I do my own Mom (not that I don't love my Mom .. 'cause I do .. but my MIL is younger, cooler, and sometimes more 'understanding' than my own Mom)

Actually I am blessed to have married into an amazing family .. save for one or two weirdo sin the bunch (then again, we all have 'em ! ) all of DH's family is pretty terrific

I do. Ever since the beginning, the relationship with FMIL and his entire family has been great.

I really couldn't ask for a better FMIL or inlaws.

I love mine!!!!!!!!! she is the best, so nice & sweet... i look forward to having an even closer relationship!!! I see how she is with her two sons and think she must have been the best mom growing up... My real mom has never really been there i was raised by my dad (who is the best!) so i am excited to build a close relationship with my MIL!!!!

I get along very well with FMIL. She can be a little nutty at times but overall I do love her and am glad that she is not annoying like some MIL's can be. FH family and I clicked from the first day. He has four other siblings who are all around the same age as we are so we all bond very well together.

I like mine.. no problems so far-- also, FH is the first of their three kids to get married- so I think this is a new thing for them- weddign planning that is.

We all get along although I wish we could have a closer/more familiar relationship-- but I guess that comes with time.

You're all lucky. When she was coming home form florida during hurricane charley, I was hoping the airports would close so she'd have to stay there.

I like my FMIL very much. And I'm sure after the stress of the wedding is over, I'll like her even more.

I just wish she remembered her New York roots a bit more and 'got it' when it comes to the wedding. Her sister in law has been helping me urge her to get her nails done and grow her hair a bit longer so it will all look nice for the wedding.
