So we hear all the MIL bashing..is there anyone that can honestly say they like/get along with their MIL?

I like mine, she didn't like me in the beginning but i think i grew on her (not that she has a choice now )

I like mine..we get along good and have from the beginning. Sometimes I feel like she gives her opinion when its not asked.

I absolutley love my MIL. She's fantastic! So are my FIL, BIL & SIL!! We've all become great friends. My parents and DH;s parents have become very good friends! Its fantastic!

Mine didnt take to me that well in the beginning either. DH was a mama's boy and i stole him.
She did make me cry at the wedding. She said that she finally got her daughter. )she has all boys). There wasnt a dry eye in the place

this is a tough one for me. I am sure that there could be worse mother in laws, but there could definitely be better!
(honestly though, I think the woman has serious emotional problems, but no one seems to want to do anything about that, they'll just let her lay in bed for 2 days straight crying because her son couldn't bring a letter to the post office for her...)

I do, she is great! I feel very lucky to have her in my life. And she has become great friends with my Mom which is so nice for us all. Many people commented at my shower and wedding at how well our families get along.
My parents are divorced as are my husband's, so we have enough family drama - which makes our In Law situation even more appreciated!

she can really be a pain in the butt sometimes, but i call her 'ma' so i am definetly part of the family. she too only has boys so i am her daughter.

i LOVE my mil. she is one of the sweetest people you can ever meet. her and ffil do so much for me and fh.
we have a very strong bond, i can talk to her about anything,we go shopping together all the time, she is just the best.
we've had our fights, but i am so very lucky to be getting her as my mil

I like mine We get along very well and we have very similar opinions about things so it is easy for us to bond.

That's my only complaint about my MIL. But she does it too everyone else too including her own daughter so I don't feel so bad about it anymore. I have learned to just keep my mouth shut!

Same here.
Same for me too!!! I don't think we're nearly as alone as we think on this one. Sometimes I feel like saying 'I'm a grown woman, not a little girl, and I know what I want/don't want!!!'

Mine was great in the beginning- but she is a total gossip. We all pretty much live in the same neighborhood - so now I just talk to her about stupid little stuff and never tell her anything that has to do with me or FH. She had no ability to keep her mouth shut.

My FMIL is a real Italian mama. She is big and warm and full of hugs, and is so incredibly grateful I came into FH's life. Apparently, he is a happier and healthier man with me around
She definitly voices her opinion too much...but what mother doesn't?
