See marnles review below. She just got married there. As a guest, I do have to say that it was wonderful! I would recommend it!

Re: Any Stewart Manor Brides??
We had our wedding at SMCC and have to say they exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious, the service was attentive, etc. FM or email me if you have any questions!

Re: Any Stewart Manor Brides??
We went to my Best Friends wedding there a year ago & LOVED it. So when it came time to figure out where we wanted to get married. There was no question!!!

Re: Any Stewart Manor Brides??
I am not a Stewart Manor bride, but my fiance & I are trying to decide on a place to get married next year. Which one would you choose if you had a choice between Stewart Manor Country Club & Fox Hollow??I've heard great things about both places--are there any downsides to either place?
Also do you know which one is closer to the city?
I would appreciate any feedback!
Good luck to you all in your planning

Re: Any Stewart Manor Brides??
I guess it would be a personal preference, I was in a wedding last May at Fox Hollow and it was great. But I personally like Stewart Manor bc it is different, Only one wedding at time, nice and initimate.so many people I know have been getting married at Fox Hollow I wanted somewhere different and where no one in my circle got married and I stumbled across Stewart Manor and fell in love, I just adore the room and its decor.
but like I said both are great chooses.
I guess price can also help determine, I would imagine SMCC to be cheaper, you should price them both and get the feel for the people you talk and the place and let that help your decision.
Good Luck

Re: Any Stewart Manor Brides??
I am a bit biased towards SMCC since that's where our wedding was, but here are the only downsides I can think of.There is no carpeting in the ball room. There is a beautiful hardwood floor but I'll admit when I first saw it, I thought it was a bit overwhelming.
There are no private places to take pictures. Since you have the run of the place the entire time you have reserved (which is a huge +++++) where ever you try to take a picture - guests are standing there.
They would not give anyone anything to drink prior to our official start time - this included water and the bridal party. (if I had known this would have happened, I would have arranged for some sort of welcoming hospitality of at least soft drinks. I didnt care so much about other guests but I was actually very angry that the bride and groom (the ones that wrote those big checks) could not get a drink)
The bridal suite is nothing to rave about at all. (We didn't use it though) Their bathrooms are not the most attractive (I didn't care about that, they were clean and they had a seperate handicapped bathroom I was able to use that accomodated my dress
)There are not any reasonable priced hotels very close by. Our guests had to stay in westbury.
None of these were deal breakers too me and the pros outweighed the cons ten fold.
I never looked at Fox Hollow for personal reasons but I have only heard wonderful things about it.
Good luck with your decision. If you (or anyone else) has any questions about SM, feel free to M or email me.

Re: Any Stewart Manor Brides??
Mariposa, the two are totally different. Our reasons for chosing the SMCC were 1 wedding at a time, staff very helpful. I personally hate schleping to wedding site that is not convenient. At our age, I did not want to blow our life savings on a wedding but I did want a traditional wedding (prices are reasonable at SMCC)Fox Hollow is very pretty from what I hear and service is wonderful, but a bit more $$.
So it depends on what you really want.

Stewart Manor is closer, but Fox Hollow is not inconvenient to get to.

Re: Any Stewart Manor Brides??
I am planning to check out the Stewart Manor Country Club on Saturday as well as the Westbury Manor. I just have a few questions for Stewart Manor brides or brides-to-be:(1) Who did you deal with there? Who do you recommend? I called & am dealing with someone named James who seems nice
(2) Where do you take your pics?
(3) Do you get a bridal attendant? or a Maitree-D?
(4) If guests get there early, do you know if they provide them with hospitality drinks, etc.? (I have gotten mixed answers on this)
Thx
