Anyone else deathly afraid of FLYING!!!

Im dreading my honeymoon!!!! I HATE flying.. If FH said we couldn't afford it and we had to go to Lake George...I'd be sooooo happy!!!!

I've always been a horrible flyer!!! Every little bump I freak out!!!

There was one year that I flew like 4 times and it got easier.. but I haven't flown in over 2 years and Im freakin again!!!!
anyone else this way too!!!

I hate it.. The anxiety is horrible that I can't even look forward to the honeymoon!!!
I know everyone says to take something but not sure if that will help.. I hate being out of control and I think taking something would make me feel even less in control?????

Me too, I used to HATE it, I mean seriously anxiety.. until I learned of Xanax! LIFE SAVER!

I felt the same way of no control.. you just descibed me to a tee. Xanax really works, ask your doctor to prescribe, epecially for your honeymoon!

I am petrified of flying. I have not been on a plane since 1996 and I only went on trips that requird flight 3 times in my life.

I start uncontrollably crying before i board the plane.

It should be fun!

I am telling you girl, we just keep having more and more in common LOL!

I am not afraid of flying for the same reasons you probably are, though. I get sick on the plane (I get motion sickness in cars, boats, planes, rides at amusement parks, you name it). So I dread plane flights b/c I make myself so worried I am going to get sick, it's horrible! I do take Xanax though and it has helped quite a bit. And it doesn't make you loopy or anything, either. You really should def talk to your doc about it. It is a wonder drug LOL!

We are the same person!! Very funny!!!!

Yeah I may suck it up and take something...I just dont' want to feel more out of control...but maybe it'll just take the edge off!!!

yes yes and more YES!!! i HATE flying just like the rest of you girls... i had a break down the last time i was in plane!! so i went to my doc & got xanax & i will never fly without those little pills again!! lol

i am not the best person to be on a plane, i have bad attacks as well. Since I didn't have health insurance for so long I just slam a bunch of drinks and pop some allergy pills and I go bye bye. I am starting to get use to being on the plane now it is really best if you go on the plane more and more this way your use to it. Its working for me so i am less agitated before the flight.

non stop for me-
i really really hate it when the plane banks in turns

I hate flying as well. My FH is going to have a very interesting First time experience with me on an airplane.
I get really bad motion sickness to the point I will be throwing up. I went to Florida 2 years ago and throw up the whole way down. LOVELY!

Oh well, I already warned him about it. He said maybe its because I always flew alone, I said I HOPE SO FOR YOUR SAKE!

I don't think I am afraid to fly but before my last trip to vegas I broke out in hives all over my face and I get a bit anxious - take a xanax - you will NOT feel loopy, just a bit relaxed - to quelch your fears talk to your doc and take one on day off when you can be home to try it out.

I have terrible anxiety. I popped a Xanax for our honeymoon. DH is almost worse than I am. I have flown a gazillion times and everytime I feel like its my last day on earth. Try and get some Xanax it helps a lot. I slept through the flight going to mexico which is really good for me.

You could definitely try that - something to make you pass out on the flight. Or, if you can find the Dramamine that ISN'T non-drowsy that could work, too. Although I find that that makes me loopy and Xanax does not at all. Maybe talk to your doc or even your local pharmacist.

I am 28 I am not sure when and if i will ever get on a plane

the good thing about a flight to europe is that its in the evening. Most leave around 9pm or so. Maybe take tylenol pm or something to help you sleep on the plane. Its also great bc on the plane at night its so much more relaxing and quiet. After they serve dinner, and it was nice to actually go on a flight that served you an actual dinner and didnt have to pay for. But after that they shut the lights off, just have dim ones and most ppl go to sleep so it will help you go to sleep too.

My dh is not afraid of flying but he really was not looking forward to an 8 hour flight which i tried to tell him isnt that bad. Ive done 14 hours numerous times and you just deal with it. He had a few drinks lol, actually while waiting for our hm flight there was a bar next to our gate and we drank before we even got on the plane.

Im horrible with flying as well...my last four trips my doctor has given me ativan/lorazepam....

you dont feel doped up or out of control...so much so that the first time I ever took it I thought it wouldnt work...until I made it through the whole flight without one ounce of fear...I will never travel without it again.
