Anyone else freaking out about how they're going to pay for their wedding?!

So, as every day passes and I get closer and closer to my wedding date I freak out more and more about how much money this is going to cost us compared to how much money we actually have!! I've decided that I hate Long Island and I wish I lived in Kansas or something because I'm sure it's a lot cheaper to get married there! How do I have the wedding of my dreams when everything is sooooo expensive! There's only 7 1/2 months to go! I think I'm freaking out! I need to hit the Lotto or something! Or rob a bank....or sell my body on the streets!
PLEASE tell me someone else understands how I feel so I know I'm not the only lunatic worried about paying for a wedding!!!!

We are also having family get creative and make some of our stuff to save money.

Hopefully it will add up!

i'm right there with you. i have an Excel workbook with all these spreadsheets with budgeted and actual costs. i look at it at least 3 times a day...always trying to figure out where else i can cut costs from b/c our budgeted amount is $5k more than we'll have saved by then.

PLUS, my sister is getting married next year so i have to save up for that as well.

AND, we just had a family emergency last nite that is requiring us to fly to wisconsin this weekend and the cheapest flights i can find are $800 EACH! it's horrible that the first thing that came to my mind was, 'great, more money that has to come out of the wedding savings.'

how about ebay? you know the saying, 'one man's junk is another man's treasure.' i have TONS of suits and dresses from formals & stuff that i'm in the process of posting up there. even if everything sells for a buck, that'll be a couple hundred bucks.

just a thought.

You know I thought of you girls as I read AM NY on my way home from work last nigh. There was an article for Egg donators.... they pay 8k I was like hey if I donated about 6 I would have my entire wedding paid off!!!!
