anyone else get mistaken for younger than they are?

Original post by SummerBride10

Because I do all the time!!!

Last night I was asked for ID to buy lotto tickets. A few months ago, I was asked for ID for an R-rated movie.

Last year, I worked in a high school. I was asked for my hall pass.

Sometimes people make me feel like I'm 16. Once is enough!!

I get carded for the occasional Lotto ticket.

Oh, and last year I went to visit my parents in Florida and we went to see a movie and they thought I was 16 - they didn't ask for ID since I was with my mom and dad, but they DID sell me a 'junior' ticket. I was 27. Saved three dollars though, whoop whoop!

I get carded aaalll the time for everything too...& I'm 25

Yes, all the time. Last year I was in a hotel elevator in Boston. A mother was with her daughters and asked if I was looking at colleges too!

FH went to buy cough medicine for his daughter last night and they asked him for ID! I didnt even know they ID you for that

Yes... and I'm an old maid... I'm dangerously close to 30 and people always think my younger sister is older than I am... I made a crack at work the other day about getting old and someone made a comment back about how difficult it must be to be approaching my mid-20's... oh how I wish...

The worst was in July when I was visiting my parents in NC and I ordered a margarita... and they wouldn't serve me until I showed my ID.... I'm 29.

Then today at work I was talking to a new hire.. she asked what my previous jobs were...I told her and she said ' don't get upset, but howe are you to do so much? I said I just turned 29 in June... she said ' wow' - I didn't think you were older than 22 or 23

I don't get mistaken for younger normally (I'm tall and for some reason people equate height with age), but whenever someone asks my age, or for id they say;

'YOU'RE 30!! YOU DON'T LOOK 30!'

I'm sure thats considered a backhanded compliment, but in a weird way my first reaction is to be like..............'is 30 old?'

But hey, I'll take it
