On Mon. I take the 7:14 am train from Baldwin since FH works there. In the evening I take the train back to Ronkonkoma that get me there for 6:49pm
Once I move out there permanently I'll be taking the 6:39am from Ronkonkoma and returning on the same train that gets me there at 6:49pm.
It's more exhausting then my commute from my apt. which is 20 min. door-to-door. Though I must say cleaner and more comfortable than the subway. I genreally read or listen to my IPod and it's nice to have that time to myself.
I grew Up in South Richmond Hill so i know the A train very well...used to take it from Lefferts Blvd...OMG I hate that train!!!!!

When I officially move to LI, I'll be on the 8:03am from Valley Stream. If I want to be a little early for work I'll be on the 7:45am.
I used to commute to the city from VS. Thank god it was only over the summer. I hated it. I'd rather get in my car and drive.

I take the 8:05 from Auburndale..takes me an hour to get to work, because I walk to Madison & 40th from Penn Station.
Once we get married, I'll be taking the 7 train 1 stop from LIC to Grand Central..it should take 15 mins door to door...I can't wait!

i would try to take the 7:45 it is express, it stops in 2 or 3 other stations after valley stream and then NO JAMAICA. Penn Station is the next stop. it is awesome. The 8:03 feels so slow since it make a lot of stops. I take both to go to clients in the city.

I also work on Madison & 40th weird, 292 Madison Avenue, I used to take the train from Bayside but now we live in Fresh Meadows so I take the express bus which can suck with the traffic sometimes. If I'm in a rush I take the LIRR to Bayside and FH picks me up.

I take the 8:09 Island Park train. I get into work a little after 9, so it's about 1 hour comute total.
Definately takes a toll on you....but don't think I would be able to commute if it was much longer.

I take the 7:12 out of Huntington. In June it'll be at 7:02 and I'll have to transfer. Not looking forward to that!! These 13 hour days are killing me! (1.5 hour commute each way, *****). Getting up so early doesn't help!

I take the 7:21 from Northport.
grrrr.. they're doing work on the tracks during the day. I took the 1:35 train back to LI today and had to transfer to a bus at Hicksville for all stops east of Huntington. The freaking bus broke down on Deer Park Ave. I was there for an hour before they sent another bus. I didn't get back to the office until 5pm.

When you are taking the 7 am trains leaving wantagh what time do you get to the city?? i've never taken lirr before but that's going to be my commute. I usually have to go downtown by chambers. just wondering how much time i have to leave for heading downtown. i usually have to be there at 9:30 for a 10 a.m. start. are the trains around 7 am a good option or can i sleep later?
