Fh and I are paying for most of the wedding ourselves. we went through and made a list of everything we had to pay for. i am so scared. i dont know where we are going to get this moiney from. Im not having the best of everything. Anyone else in the same boat as me? any suggestions besides robbing a bank? im thinking that might not work so well.

oh god i drive myself crazy sometimes...the worst part is i try not to tell fh when im stressed bc then he starts to stress and then he REALLy starts to worry and he gets bad which ends up stressing me out even more and driving me even more crazy lol.
Im in the same boat.

I opened an ING account for the honeymoon. Hopefully we save up some money or its straight home from the wedding.
This is the best idea....I did this a year ago and was shocked at how I can save...I was motivated by their interest that I started saving more.
Another little secret of mine is that I got one of those 5 gallon water bottles from work and I started putting the change I had at the end of every day....in two years I filled it up...this big blue beatiful water bottle is paying for the little extra I want ( Viennese hour)
I stress for other things of course...but our rule is what we cant afford...we are not having.

FH and I are paying for the entire wedding ourselves. I know we can do it so I try not to stress out too much. The stress I have is how are we going to pay our mortgage when I start student teaching in a few years.

Just last night we sat down and figured it all out to the penny and realized that we're actually more than fine but neither of us knew that until it was all written out on paper.
Sometimes writing it down and figuring out what you have vs. what you owe can help calm your nerves.

i recently went through the same thing!!
FH and I have been engaged for two years and opened up an ING account that we contribute to monthly and put any extra money in. So, I keep thinking that we have to pay EVERYTHING still and I am panicking but then I realize that we have put a lot into deposits and we have been paying the hall every few months SO we, at this point, have MORE than enough to pay everything off!
And, we have not put a single thing on a credit card
I still worry though because who knows what last minute things we will have to pay for!

OMG! I am totally in the same boat. It's disgusting how much a wedding could add up too. I'm not even doing the best of the best by any means and it's so expensive. This is my constant worry. I even give myself anxiety about it.
So when are we robbing the bank???lol

I am VERY worried. I'm especially worried because my FH is horrrible with money and hasn't put a dime towards his share of the HM. I understand that he wants me to pay for favors, invites, my dress and all that stuff, makeup, hair, etc. but I refuse to pay for HIS share of the HM. I got insurance so that I can cancel if need be!

OMG!!! My FH is a worry wart, too. I can't tell him most of the time when I'm worried because I'll worry about it for a day and then I'll get over it, but if I tell him, he'll start worrying about it and never stop!!!

OMG you have no idea how worried I am. I don't even know if I sleep anymore! Hence why we are going to look for our 3rd hall now after booking 2x! It just has become so much for us...and being that we are paying for everything I don't want to go into debt for 5 hours of my life, we want a house! I know I want our day to be great and special but I don't want to break the bank for it either. Don't get me wrong I can't wait to marry my my fiance but sometimes I just miss the whole dating care free part of it with all the stress that has come with planning right now! I keep telling myself that I am going to start saving right away for my children so that they never have to worry about this when it comes time! Ok apparently I needed to get that off my chest! TGIF!
