Anyone feel like a GRIPE thread?!?!

Im cranky and want to gripe... Post here if something is pissin g you off at the moment


Gripe one

I cannot believe for a THIRD year in a row Im looking for a teaching job because of budget cuts. I am sad and angry and depressed that during the happiest time in my life I am preoccupied with trying to find a job before the wedding and honeymoon so I am not miserable during them. There has been spit in the times and Im just at a loss.


Gripe two

FSIL is making annoying comments about every thing about the wedding. She is driving me buts and FH refuses to put her in her place.

I have the Gripe 2 comment too!! FSIL thinks everything she did for her wedding is the best and always comments- such as... I had traditional photography and dont like photojournalism when she knows that is what I like and want!!

What do you teach?

Not enough time in the day...
Went from the frying pan into the fire at work w/ this new position - perfect timing - 3 months before my wedding, and I'm more swamped then ever! Trying to 'impress' the new boss, but also haivng a hard time concentrating on work. I'll be here 7 years come July, and I think it's time for me to move on.

i have a bm gripe-- i understand that she is busy w/ her job and her husband and lives in maryland- but dammit- she didnt call me on my bday which was 1 week after my shower, which i knew she couldnt go to....
she hasnt acknowledged my invite yet either..
i'm not asking for a novel or a long conversation-- just a few words in an email or or short phone conversation.
is that too much to ask?

GRIPE 1....I am still looking for a teaching job

GRIPE 2....I have to get a letter stating that I am a practicing Catholic to apply to the Diocese of RVC for teaching jobs...and I have been waiting 2 DAMN WEEKS for the Pastor of my church to call me back

Thanks. I am so sad because this was a TENURE TRACK position and I didnt think I would have to deal with this again.

I am totally in.......

I just got another invitation to a surprise party....BUT this one is the weekend of my 30th Birthday! I know you are all thinking that it's a plot for a surprise party for me.....but Its not! I know its really this persons 30th also.
O well!

I just told off a dumb student loan consolidation telemarketer. He would NOT shut up and I was being SO polite

'Well no jennifer it isnt an issue of time, you have all the time in the world. Why wouldnt you want to save money...'


SHUT UP AND LEAVE ME ALONE GODDDDD

Gripe 1) I hate PMS
Gripe 2) I hate my skin
Gripe 3) I hate my invites
Gripe 4) I hate my job
Gripe 5) I hate my future in laws for not giving a crap about our wedding, They dont even bring it up when talking to us. I hate them so much for that, I dont even want them at the wedding
Gripe 6) Im angry at my BM's for making me work so darn hard to get them to call and order a dress.

Yeah I have a BM gripe too. Only 2 of my BM's live on the island, so I don't have much of a support system right now. I was really counting on the 2 here to be there for me. Well, one of them is literaaly NEVER around. She doesn't return phone calls and if I happen to get her at home, she never has time to talk. I've talked to her twice in the past three months: the day after my son was born and she told me she was coming to the hospital to see us, and again to invite her daughter to my oldest son's birthday party. Both times I got the 'I'll be right over to see you' speech and both times she never showed up and didn't call.
So here we are the middle of March and not only is she no longer a BM, she's off the guest list as well.

I'm pissed that I've worked at the same company for 2+ years without a promotion or a raise!!

Gripe 1

New Chef thinks its ok to cut my hours without telling me and ignoring my availbilty days which I was hired on. Doesn't care who approved it, now I am going to speak to human resources to complain about this jerk.

Gripe2

My two sister-in-laws don't get along, I already kicked one of the them out of the BP. I kicked the one who starts all of the drama. Now I have to worry about her starting things at the wedding. I already warned brother, he doesn't get it.
