Anyone feel like a GRIPE thread?!?!

My gripe today - USPS.

Can Fedex, UPS or DHL just take over the USPS already I just cannot understand why the USPS screws up so often I'd gladly pay .50 or even .75 per first class letter to make sure things got to where they were supposed to be and on time.

My wedding invites were to be hand cancelled and were not (postal worker lied to me) but even when I went back to have the extras done I was told .90 cent EACH!!!! And I was told that I had to fill out paperwork to have them hand cancelled We did not bother to get them hand cancelled. People in VA got them on Monday (mailed Saturday) but people in Manhattan got them A WEEK LATER - from Brooklyn

I got some important papers sent from my dad and they were sent express mail (next day guaranteed). They did not come for DAYS and the USPS gave him crap about his refund.

My shower invites went out and some people in Manhattan got them over a week after mailing - mailed from Manhattan

I sent my niece her ring dance dress that was made in NYC and it was to be in VA on Monday by 3 p.m. It arrived today instead. I went to the USPS to get a refund and they told me I had to call an (800) number from my receipt. I had to request the form so I can just fill it out at home since I knew the guy was totally wrong to say I needed to make a call. So, I made the call (once I got home) and the representative told me to go to the local USPS and fill out the form.

And get this, while I was there I attempted to mail some of my thank you cards from the shower and the clerk told me that they do not take mail It's the effing post office and they do not take mail Apparently everyone has to put the mail in a bin (blue USPS bin) at the back of the office instead of handing it to a clerk and making anyone accountable.

The clerk, a woman from another station who is filling in, told me she never worked at a station that did not accept mail at the window and she took my letters but another customer who was told the same crap tried to put her letters in the box and it was so full that she could not - and this was at like 4 p.m. when the box was to have been emptied at 3:30 p.m.

your definitely no bridezilla...your MOH obviously didn't care...I can understand that people have bills and everything..but the fact that she now has to pay for her car...come on!!

So don't feel bad...at least the rest of your bridal party has the decency to think of you and all the preparing your doing....

A 'friend' who dropped out of the BP soon after I asked her informed me the morning after my BP she is leaving for vegas with a friend (she dropped out bc of money btw) and shed rather go to bed at 9am.
