Well, what do you expect the things to do? Dance around and sing?

It's just something different to see, that's all.

i'll pass.

I think it's something to do because:
1) the size of the work
2) the fact that the artists only do big installations and therefore they can only do a few so the chance of seeing one is pretty big and
3) for something that gets so much press and cost so much $ you should form your own opinion.

Did you think I was offended by what you said? Why would you not caring about some art installation be offensive? It's your opinion. I just thought it was funny that you thought it was boring, because, well... duh! It's gigantic orange flags, that's it! There's nothing else to it! You just look at them, of course it's boring!

ok, I am the only one that doesn't get it? I jsut don't. And I like orange.

I'm never uptown, but I may be on the 26th for my friend's birthday, so maybe we'll go--he likes that kind of stuff.

Maybe it is more impersive in person.

I agree

the aerial shots I've seen of it are really amazing. I can't wait to go see it. the immensity of the project should be amazing in itself

21 million to hang curtains in a park?? HELLO- I could do that. Why not donate the money to Cancer or aids research? Maybe then I would buy an overpriced Christos painting!

I'm not offended by anyone who doesn't want to see it- totally understandable.. However, I don't understand how you can pass judgment on anything without seeing it first hand and experiencing it.

I really think its beautiful, but for the amount of money it cost I hope they keep it opened until atleast spring.

With the apple blossoms, the new green buds of the trees ...
