Anyone here hate the Yankees???

God I can't stand them. Why do they always have to win??? To me I think a team like that cubs deserved to win the world series or Florida. These are teams that havent one in years and years. But the Yankees??? come the last time they won was in 2000. So they havent won in three years boo hoo cry me a river they only won four in row before from 1996-2000. I can't root for a team like that! It's boring to see them win all the time. And I can't stand Jeter and Soriano, I feel like throwing tomatoes at my TV whenever they are up. Well this distraught Mets Fan is voting for the Florida...So lets go Marlins!!!

Easy now girls, everyone has their favorite team. Me, I am a Mets fan, really by association of my husband and he won't, won't, won't root for the Yankees. He says he roots for the Mets and anyone who PLAYS the Yankees I am an underdog rooter so I have to say I would love any team to give the Yanks a run for their money but no doubt they are an extremely talented team. Now, those Mets are always the underdog and when they pull it out, they pull it out!!

I honestly don't understand why you would want to Marlins to win unless you are from Florida and have been a Marling fan all along.

I have to agree...the reasons cities want teams to win is b/c it brings buisness, tourism, residents....its good for NY's economy for ANY team to be in the WS

This is so funny to me

I have been a METS fan all my life, and last night I rooted my heart out for the Yankees. I am definitely a New York FAN........
I can't believe there is so much Mets vs. Yankees talk here when there's not a Subway Series going on.

If the Mets play vs. the Yankees, I root for the Mets.
WHen the Yankees play against anyone but the mets, I root for the Yankees.

I feel that as long as ONE New York team wins, we're all winners.

The Yanks work very hard, and as a result are going to the World Series as proof of their hard work and talent.

The difference with the Yankees is about wanting to win and believing that you can. It's about going about your business and doing your best day in and day out. It's about an owner and a front office that cares about winning and is willing to do what it takes to get there. It's about putting together a group of veterans and young players who understand that working together as a team takes precedence over individual acheivement.

I have an autographed baseball from Yogi Bearra (sp) does that count for something??? He tossed a baseball out to the crowd and my little hands cought it...he signed it for me too

my baseball is in one of those baseball holder things at my parents on their shelf.

I also got Billy Martin's autograph before he died when they had old timers day.

It isn't a matter of letting a team that hasn't won in years win this time, it's a matter of the best team winning.

OK so the Cubs might have won if that guy (the fan) didn't catch that ball the other night. But still, just because the Yanks have won alot doesn't mean that another team should win now. The best team, no matter if it's the Yanks the Marlins or whatever should win.

I love the Yankees, but I love NY even more!! Anything that unites our city/state in happiness instead of sadness should be celebrated.
Any team who works hard and wins - Yankees, Mets, whoever - deserves it! We should be happy to have such a winning team represent New York!!!!

Sorry to all the Yankee haters but I feel it is UNAMERICAN TO DISLIKE THE YANKEES. They are history and they are New York. Watching them play gives you a good feeling.
