That sounds really nice, how exactly are the pics on the placecards? Was it very expensive?

Also, I noticed you are getting married in Richmond Hill. Where exactly? I grew up there.

Re: Anyone have any cute place card ideas?

We had a rose theme so I made 'chocolate kiss roses' as our seating cards.

Everyone loved them

R u talking to me? - if you mean the candle placecards those arent mine since I didnt make mine yet but I found a pic of them. Alot of girls on here are going them. Its a votive holder with the persons name on a paper and glued on and a tealight inside so the glow is at the right level with the words. - dont use a votive candle they are too big

eta - Also I have experimented with them before and some people say they get to hot to hold on to for the guests. I have found as long as you dont get the thin glass ones they dont get hot at all. I am using thick glass holders.

Re: Anyone have any cute place card ideas?

We are buying blank place cards. We are taking images from pictures we've taken, scanning them and lightening them, printing then onto the balnk cards. Then we overlaying a translucent paper over them with the name and table number of each person. We are making corresponding table markers for each table instead of those table markers that come with the place.

The placecards came with our package from the photographer, but we are paying an arm and a leg for the photographer it should be included
As for where we are getting married, it's The Holy Child Jesus Church in Richmond Hill. What HS did you go to?

that's a great idea. I wanted to do soemthing like the one inthe 1st picture, but I have a question. Are the cards you are using tent-style, or flar. if flat, are you jsut laying them flat ona table. i don't have room for that.
if you are doign tent style, how are you puttignteh translucent paper ver it? I've had trouble foldign it int eh past, but i haven't tried different kinds.
I'd rather not use ribbons to attach them, like in the pic.

I'm going to go to paper access tomorow to see what they have & experiment.

Re: Anyone have any cute place card ideas?

I'm getting married in November so this is going along with my fall theme. I saw this idea in Martha Stewart.
I'm using gourds (mini pumpkins) and putting the place cards in the stems.

We're getting married at Holy Child also! I grew up half a block away and received all my sacraments there. I went to Holy Child for elementary school but I didn't go to high school in Richmond Hill, I went to Mary Louis.
