I am thinking of not gettign a card box or burdcage ro anything. I don't tink many people will bring actual gifts, so I'm not having a gift table, so I guess people will just give us cards.
Will people think this is weird & be looking for a place to put them? iknwo they make purses for this, but I am not goign to walk around with one. I may get one, but not carry it around with me.
FH & dad were joking about getting a ransom-style breifcase

My mother is making me a small bag to put the cards in as we get them. Depending on who isn't on the dancefloor, me, my mother & my FMIL will be in charge of the bag.
Personally I don't like the card box, cake box, mailbox, or birdcage idea.

I forgot about this little detail!! So after the DJ did the last song, all of my guest got on line to say bye and gave me there envelope. It just so happened that no one left early. But no one minded, that there was no box or anything.

Guests always want to hand you the envelopes so they know you got it. I don't understand the mailboxes or birdcages. Iguess it's added decor but I just can't be bothered renting one more thing. I will have someone hold it for us or put it under our table.
My family always sends the gifts (even if it is a card with money) ahead of the wedding so they don't have to worry about it) It makes it so much easier for everyone not to deal with gifts the day of the wedding.

my family thinks its tacky to have a birdcage or anything like that. people will give us envelopes and we will hand them off to our family to put away for us.
