Re: anyone on a diet?
i dont know if u have a specific diet ur following.. but when i was losing weight a couple of years ago i made up my own diet cuz i refused to give up the foods i love.. so i would make my plate or order my meal and i would eat HALF... half the burger and half the fires and leave the other half for the next days lunch. It really worked for me cuz i needed to learn portion sizes.. just a thought

Re: anyone on a diet?
I've been doing weight watchers since forever and I've lost about 40 over the course of a year but I'm trying to get rid of those last ten or so.
It would definitely help if I knew I could turn to my '08 girls on here for help!

Re: anyone on a diet?
I'm a Weight Watcher. Well technically I'm a WW drop out... I couldn't afford to go to the meetings anymore. But I keep track on my own and I seem to be maintaining, which is great, but I want to loose at least 10 more.

Re: anyone on a diet?
I'm pretty thin, I guess, but I've gained 5 pounds since I got engaged 2 months ago! It's like, 'I've already snagged me a man... pass the brownies over here!' I used to be a real gym rat, and I just don't have the time lately - between work and grad school and... um... LIW (let's face it!), I only go about once every ten days or so. I'm so bad! I know someone mentioned having a diet buddy - anyone want to be a virtual workout buddy? Like, we could report to each other how much time we spent at the gym, how much cardio / weights we did, etc.? Might be motivating.

Re: anyone on a diet?
I had lost mucho pouns two and half years ago loved it but couldn't keep it off. I was working out for a hour a day for a total of 5-6 days a week and eating clean (no preservs, veggies, protiens, good carbs) etc.. portion control no calorie control. I have gained a lot of it back thanks to going to the gym maybe once to three times a week and eating everything in site.
I will be back on the old eating plan with a min. of four days a week at the gym at 50 mins. I have to weight my fat *** in to see what the actual damage is.
I also have to give up beer except for a holiday to do this.. which is hard for me.

exactly like a weekly update and if we dont feel like going to the gym...we give each other some encouraging words ...and if want to eat something bad ...

I really like this idea! I keep telling myself to get back into the routine of doing The Firm video's that I have (they REALLY kick my butt) but even when I have the time I just don't feel like it! Maybe it will help if I know someone else is doing it with me! Good idea!!!

Re: anyone on a diet?
same here...im pretty thin also BUT i do need to get back on track of eating healthy and going back into the gym. i used to go all the time too but im swamped with work and then grad school stuff (and now planning on top of it! geeez) so i never have time to go during the semesters and the off times i just want to relax!
just remember to be healthy when u diet!!!! we dont want anything bad happening to anyone before the wedding!!!!!
i dont know if this will be beneficial to anyone or save them any $ but as an alumni maybe u can go to your college gym for free??? just a thought.
im planning on doing hot yoga and pilates when i have the time...closesr to the wedding to tone myself...theres a place for both right by glen cove rd
