Re: Anyone on South Beach Diet?

I was going to but then I realized I signed up for WW at work program.

I think I will do WW but w/o carbs for 2 weeks (ie: incorporate both)

We'll see.

HEATHER!!!!!!! You are my hero! I kept falling off the wagon, so to speak.

question: do you notice the difference in your clothes, or just on the scale?

I am starting to do South Beach, but I dont have the food book..Trying to go on memory from reading the book a few weeks ago. My meals seem to be going ok, but I still have a craving for sweets..Anyone have any tips on how to fight this??

Its with 1/2 cup ricotta cheese, 1 packet of Splenda, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

At this point, FH and I both lost 10. Unfortunatley, I dont see any difference with my clothes but FH does. Of course we see a difference with the scale.

We are getting sick of meat, cheese, eggs, and nuts though!

Re: Anyone on South Beach Diet?

There are tons of South Beach friendly recipe sites - do a search, alot of peeps have invented some good stuff.

I am permanently ruined for eggs - I did the diet for 4 months last year, lost 20 pounds, and felt great, but I STILL canoot look at eggs w/o getting nauseous.

I still do low carb for lunch and dinner, but I have carbs in my breakfast every morning (whole weat waffles, cereal, oatmeal) and I figure I burn them throughout the day anyway.

Re: Anyone on South Beach Diet?

I'm back on...Modified in a way, I cannot eat as much as they would like you too, and I cheat here and there...but not in very bad way...Not getting on the scale for a few more days( cannot handle any more depressing things) Will report back then..

BTW- Brooklyn- you asked how much I had lost the 1st two weeks..I think it was like 9 lbs , maybe 7? It was 15 lbs in about 3 weeks that I stuck to it.
