Macys Bridal- I called Them

I paid $116.00 for everything. Headpiece and then they put my veil on a comb with beautiful lace to cover the glue attachment. That was with tax too! At my shop, it was $269 just for the headpiece without the veil.

She also did something cool which was Shower BIngo...it seemed to be a big hit and cut the monotony of opening the presents...you never saw so many women get excited over a coffee maker!!!

Anyone order their dress from Macys Bridal?

Heather,

I just called Macy's also to get an update. To my surprise they now said that my dress won't be in until the end of May. I tried to remain calm but let them know that I'm very unhappy since the last time I called I was told that it would be in the end of March beginning of April and wanted to know what the story is. I asked her to give me the date that the dress was ordered from the manufacturer. After putting me on hold for a couple of minutes she got back on and said that she was going to have the manager Patty call and find out the status which leads me to think that they didn't order my dress when I placed my order but delayed it awhile. She is supposed to call me back today with an update. I told them that I'm just nervous because I live 6 hours from LI and I will only be down a couple of more times before the wedding which is why I ordered so early in the first place. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out. Keep me posted on your dress.

Anyone order their dress from Macys Bridal?

Oh My! That is horrible Tanya! So what did the manager say and when did they say they ordered it from the manufacturers. I spoke to someone named Donna who said my order was put through already. Who did you talk to? When is your wedding that the dress will be in end of May?

Bob

I know how horrible you must feel, I too have had problems with the Commack Wedding Center in the past (with bridesmaid dresses). If you had felt so strongly at the time that the dress was too short, you should have refused to pay for it. I would have stood there and screamed until I got my way. They have one seamstress who is absolutely terrible. If you leave with the dress and sign the receipt, then legally the wedding center is not responsible. However by making what happened known to the Better Business Bureau, the news or everyone you can think of, if he has any conscience, he will do the right thing. Take the advice that everyone had left and go to another seamstress. Don't let something so minor as a hem ruin your special day. It is not worth it.

Macys Bridal- I called Them

Heather: I didn't order from Macy's but my sister-in-law did - from Smithaven. Some girls here were not happy with the service, but my SIL had a wonderful experience. When I had my first date in the winter time, I had placed a deposit on a dress there and a girl by the name of Cindy or Cynthia helped me. She was soooo sweet to me. My SIL had absolutely no problems and everything came in perfect. I think it's normal that they push it to the last minute. Hey you could have my problem, they never ordered my gown and my wedding is in 52 days. How do you like them apples.

Debby, I hope all works out with your dress. I can't even imagine how upset you must be. Please let us know how you're doing.

Anyone order their dress from Macys Bridal?

Heather,

I spoke to someone named Carol. The manager is Patty and I didn't get to speak with her. The story I got yesterday as of the last time I called was that the computers were down at te manufacturer so they couldn't get any info but would call them firs thing today. They still didn't give me an order date yet either. My wedding is July 2nd which doesn't give me alot of time if there are problems when the dress comes in. Not to mention I'm very short so when I ordered the dress they already told me that it would have to be taken apart at the waist and cut there since the bottom is all beaded which is more difficult than a straigt hem. Also since I live so far away that would mean that I would have to make a 6 hour drive down 3 times between the end of may and my July 2nd wedding to do fittings which will really be stressfull. I'll let you know as soon as I hear from them. Keep me posted on your situation.
