I usually don't jump into these things but here goes:
The truth is, Bush lied to the National Security Council, the State Department, and the CIA in a speech he made early this year about a certain type of weapons material that was supposedly found in Iraq. I don't remember exactly what it was called and it wasn't an actual weapon, but it was some sort of material used to create weapons. Its presence in Iraq was first reported in Britain late last year. Condolezza Rice later admitted the British report had not been verified and the material may or may not exist. Powell also admitted Bush was aware the info was in question. Bush did quote the British report in his speech because he was trying to boost support for his war effort. The materials have not yet been found.
This man knowingly lied to the State Department, the CIA, the National Security Council, and the American public. I think he should be impeached and relieved of his duties.

this really bothers me actually. you sent our soldiers over there to die so you could avenge an assisination attempt on your father that happened 10 years ago???? that's why people's brothers, husbands, sons etc are dying? how selfish and disgusting is that? yes saddam is evil and the world and iraqi people are better off without him, but we should not have started this war imo. if it was a un action i would have felt differently, but for us to go it alone was wrong.
i can't believe there are so many bush supporters! i can't stand him b/c among other things he's trying to block stem cell research, he is clearly against abortion, and he has no charisma or personality. i'm really hoping he does not win again. (oh wait he didn't really win the first time!)
also suzanne, i don't know if this was an intentional mistake or not, but yabbobay said oligarchy, not oilarchy. oligarchy means government by few.

I am sure you don't feel any safer, let them raise the level tomorrow and see how many threads there will be on here of people feeling fearful. The truth is whether or not he was caught these things can and will still happen. There is more to terrorism than one man

Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion, but I believe it's important to have facts to back up those opinions. Two websites I've found to be very helpful are posted below:
I was at the towers the day they came down. And I was scared and had panic attacks and the whole 9 yards. But I will say with Bush as president, I do feel safer. Which is one reason why I do hope he stays in office.

Do I like Bush No. Do I support our troops over there YES. AmI happy that Our troops got Saddam yes. Do I think this was about Oil (and I dont drive an SUV) Do I think this was about the assaintion attmept on his father Yes. IMO opinion we should have found OSAMA before Saddam. After all hes the on that flew the planes into our towers! Where are these 'Weapons of mass destruction.' Im sure he could have done some damage. But we have seen the damage that Osama has done more recently then Saddam.
