Re: Anyone Watch DATELINE with the PRES?
...BUSH Was TOLD THE WRONG INFO AND THE PEOPLE WHO TOLD HIM ADMIT THEIR mistake .......
Not exactly-he was made aware that the info was not definite and he shouldn't be quoting it.

Oh, btw, how can we call Bush a liar when nothing has been proven yet? Trust me when I tell you we know NOTHING about what was and wasn't found in Iraq.

Re: Anyone Watch DATELINE with the PRES?
He lied when he presented certain information as definite when he was aware that it wasn't.
This lie ignited support of a war that, while I agree produced many wonderful results, was initiated for the wrong reasons and at a cost that I find very disturbing.

Re: Anyone Watch DATELINE with the PRES?
Everytime Hes asked about these weapons of mass destruction hes never able to produce them. Im gonna stay out of this political post cause like a lot of other things that get posted around here you never can give ure true opinion on things with out getting flamed. I didnt single anyone out I just stated my opinion. Just like my parents always said you should never talk about Religion Parenting and politics!
I would like to add that an incoming President can not be held responsible for a tanking economy 3 months into his Presidency. The tanking economy was a direct result of the prior administration.
I think they can...brokers and traders are very fast moving...if they don't have confidence they will start selling away...
look at 1929...one week it was great...the next week BOMBED!!

As far as the Troops I love and pray for them but they chose this life there was no draft.....they knew the possibilities.
that seems a little unfair to me. many soldiers chose that life in the hope that they could better their lives by getting money for a college education. not everyone that joins the army voluntarily necessarily really wants to. for some there are no other options. just something to think about. and i bet when a lot of them signed up they never imagined they'd be going off to die in a pointless war in iraq, jmo.

don't get me started on this...but i hear he is sending me back some of the $450 I spent to register my car for ONE year!!!! so he will get a plus in my books for that

HE is equipped to run this country, he was a below average student oh stop that not what it is about look at Einstein could he do this no!!!! It requires a lot, intelligence is part but it also has to do with guts and decision making and pressure, and willingness. He is doing what should have been done a LONG TIME AGO .............

I could accept average...but not below average...I think intelligence is a huge part of being president...strategizing...understanding all options...

But, when you sign up for the armed forces, you must realize a possiblity of war....thats what the armed forces are for. If you want college money, without the risk, then you take out loans and get grants like the rest of us of done.

He was a student thirty years ago it is definitely possible to have accumulated knowledge over the years. I also learn better hands on.
JUNE 26 2004 It is not argument thread it is a discussion that has it twists and turns. It is not to bash it is to speak and this by far is probably the best discussion I have been involved in .

Re: Anyone Watch DATELINE with the PRES?
To all the people poking fun at Arnold... don't forget Ronald Reagan was an actor, too!
I am on the fence about Bush, but leaning more toward NOT liking him. I think he put a great team together post 9-11, and all in all it was handled well. And although I fully support our troops (a good friend's husband is over there right now!), I don't think this war ever should have come about in the first place, especially on the basis of 'He tried to kill my dad'. And I think part of being President is that you SHOULD be a good speaker!
For the record, I agree with everything Erica has been saying!
