ANYONES HALL USING OVAL TABLES??? I NEED PICS - NOT HAPPY RIGHT NOW!
Just got a call from my hall and they said they are switching over to oval tables. I thought they were coming in after my wedding but they are here now... Im sooo pissed because my florist said you can't put square CPs on an oval table and I want square CPs!!! . Does anyone have pics of oval tables??? TIA

I have no clue.. thats what the florist said.. im ready to say screw it.. he wanted me to put this long CP on the table and to me it looked like something you would bring to a grave (just being totally honest). I WANT MY SQUARE CPS!!! Whatever happened to MY DAY MY WAY!!

Maybe it's because a round table has so much space in the middle and an oval table sort of has less? Can't they try to make the square centerpiece smaller so it fits okay?

Do what YOU want to do. I had one round centerpiece on an oval table. A few florists told me to do several mini centerpieces down the length of the table I';ve always hated that look. If I'm PAYING I'm the one whose DECIDING!!!

I am doing square centerpieces on oval tables. Why would they look bad? I thought the square vases were cool, so I wanted those, who cares what shape the table is?

I honestly don't think it matters. definitely get the square one's if that's what you want!

Westbury Manor has oval tables. I think square cps would be fine.

Lombardi's on the Sound uses oval tables and from what I hear, they can get very cluttered. I'm planning on seating the minimum amount of people at each table and using tall centerpieces so that they don't take up too much room (and so that everyone can see). I think something with a smaller base is probably your best bet because of the fit, but you should do whatever makes you happy.

Well if you can't put square centerpieces on an oval table, I commited a huge faux paus! My tables were onblong (oval) and I had 3 square CP's on each table...will have pics tomorrow.
Don't stress and tell your florist to chill!

We had oval tables and round centerpieces. I thought it looked great. We also put a few votive candles running down the length of the table to extend it a bit.
