Just got a call from my hall and they said they are switching over to oval tables. I thought they were coming in after my wedding but they are here now... Im sooo pissed because my florist said you can't put square CPs on an oval table and I want square CPs!!! . Does anyone have pics of oval tables??? TIA

Well I am just going by what the florist said. But then again, why does the florist even need to know that they are oval
What kind of CP vase is it??? A long square one?? I don't see why it wouldn't look good, thats what I planned on using. What were the tables orginally? round?

Square CP's will look awesome on any shaped table. I think that is so nuts he would tell you that. What about having a pink runner and then putting the square CP? That would look great.

honestly, I don't think anyone will say 'OMG, she put square CPs on oval tables, how horrible'
It's you're day, do what you like. when the table is set with all of the plates, wine and other stuff, people won't even notice what shape your table is.

We are going there this weekend to check out the tables and see how they look.
Kim, thanks for the idea of a table runner. That sounds like something I should look into.

IMO you absolutely can. I would recommend just putting a few votives on each side, going down the table.
I had low oval centerpieces. Then I didnt have to pay for glasses or vases or anything.

I'm sorry, I dont have any good pics of the whole CP. I dont have my professional shots back. Hopefully they got the whole table. Heres close ups. I dont know if itll help you.

When I had my last meeting at LM in July I heard they were getting Oval tables and I made them write round tables on my final forms. Did you see if Lisa would do that?

I had a mix of round & oval tables & I was concerned that the CP wouldn't look right on one or the other. I gues the cp was sort of oval--well, mroe like round with peiceces sticking out & it was fine. I think 3 small square vases would look nice in the center of an oval tables, but that would increase your costs, so Id just put candles on the sides. Maybe you could find square candle holders.

We are doing something very similar...you can always play up the length of the table with something other than flowers candles etc.

I have heard that 'you can't put a round peg in a square hole' , but I must have missed the 'You can't put a square CP on an oval table' class. I don't like when people say that you CAN'T do something. It is your wedding and your money do what you want.
