I am not doing any of the traditional stuff: -no garter/bouquet toss, -not getting married in a church -we are all going to the RH in one limo -no mother/father dances (my dad passed away) -no cry packs, cigar rollers, aisle runner ect...
we did however put extra $$ into a really awesome dj (he works clubs in manhattan) and extra's at the bar including more staff to ensure no wait at the bar and also to provide cocktail service at the tables.
other then that we took the $$ we save cutting the small things out and upgraded our honeymoon room
oh also- as an idea for those that aren't doing the bouquet/garter toss- you can make a bouquet of lotto tickets, movie passes, gift cards in small denominations and then have all single people (men, women) try and catch it.
Probably a bunch of other things but I can't think of them right now.

Garter toss...doubt it...BUT i am wearing a METS garter...just for my man tho! LOL
I am doing a candy buffet....just cuz I love them!!! :)

No removing garter or bouquet toss. If RH provides menus I'll be using those. I wasn't going to do cry packs because I don't think people will be crying, but I am having an outside ceremony and many guest have allergies. I have to find out if September is a bad allergy season. If it is I will probably make nose packs. Depending on how much it cost, I think I might be adding bellydancer to the recception. Cool idea!!!

but CIGAR ROLLER yes yes yes. I hate the smell, but being that we are having an outdoor cocktail hour with a miamish style, i think its a must.. LOL

menus/table numbers/ place cards- we will use the ones the RH provided

special linens-the linens at the RH is fine
monogramed runner- I really wanted it but there were other things that were more important

cry pack- think they are kinda stupid and saying you expect people to cry with you.. My mother and I will prob be the only ones crying lol
garter toss- will only do the bouquet toss because it's traditional but I think the garter toss is gross! It makes me really uncomfortable everytime I have to watch it
candy table- just been done so many times even tho I looooove candy
cigar roller- although FH would love this my father is strongly opposed to any kind of smoking, and since he's paying for the whole wedding, I wouldn't even try it
going around to every table to say hello- wastes time, will probably just get on the mic and thank everyone for coming and tell them to get out on the dance floor-- although I liked how on 4 weddings, one bride did a toast with every table
having the bridal party join in for our first dance- just don't like when others are invited to share in the bride and grooms song, sounds selfish I know, but I want it to be our special song.. Will change to another slow song and ask BP to join in
Shoving cake into and on FH's face-- cause if he does it to me I will flip out!

Not getting married at a church No limos No ringbearers or flowergirls No Garter or Bo-K toss No cry packs, slipper baskets, bathroom baskets, petal cones, etc. No favors No programs No assigned seating or table numbers No Candy Buffet or Choc fountain No floral centerpeices - the place already has gorgeous candle displays on each table, that's enough. No boutiniers (sp?) or special floral things for mom, dad, grandma, grandpa and whoever else is supposed to get one - can't afford it.
I think this may be it.

only 1 person is in my bridal party no garter or bouquet toss for the first dance, it won't be us alone, we will have everyone on the dance floor dancing no groom mog dance no programs no baskets or cry packs no cigar roller no silly dances
basically, ceremony, CH, reception will be eating and dancing. nothing extra hehe
