I sent out my invites...we are going to Aruba on our HM.

I have started going, I do tan well, however I don't want to be dark. My FI isn't going so I can't get to dark. I'm just gonna go once a week and see how that goes.

Hi girls! We went to get our marriage license yesterday! We also went shopping and bought new clothes for the HM. I spent so much $$$$$$. But we had fun!!

3 more weeks from today!

I swear by Clarins self tanner its sold in Macys and its excellent. Take it from a pale Irish girl! No streaking or orangeness

I've always been afraid of the self tanners, I've turned orange once - what a nightmare!
Anyway I can't believe its almost here. I'm getting so nervous abut everything!! We still have to call the hall with a final count, pick our menu's, call the florist with the amount of tables. Meet with the DJ. My dress is still being altered. Oy vey!!! I'm feeling very overwhelmed and not in control!!!!!!

I finally booked my limo on Friday night -- the girl thought I was crazy! She said 'so you need this for April 2005 or April 2006' -- and I said, no April as in 3 weeks from now! Luckily we're just getting a plain 14 passenger that is available! If we wanted anything fancier we'd be in trouble!

I also had my shower at the George Washington Manor on Saturday. It was so nice!

I only saw one set of pics once. My mom grabbed them to show her friends and I never saw them again!
But everything was terrific. We had quite a big shower, and everyone loved the food! THere were so many people that I was gonig around greeting everyone and I didn't get the chance to eat!

Hmmm I wonder if I'll get a work shower????

I was thinking the same thing. There is a girl getting married the week after me (she's having a destination wedding in Hawaii), and I got an email about her shower a few weeks ago...it's supposed to be on Friday (April 2). But...I haven't seen any reminders for it...so I wonder if someone decided to have a shower for both of us and took me off the distribution list? Or...they just aren't having one for me at all

OMG- how did I not tell you guys that I went for my 2nd fitting last night! My dress is just sooo pretty! It fits so perfectly. They did the bustle last night, then I go Tues the 13th for the last and final and I pick it up on Friday the 16th.

It was kind of amusing.
Only me and my mom went last night for the fitting. There was another girl there who had her fitting at the same time brought EIGHT, yes that's right, 8 people with her to the fitting!
I felt like such a loser standing there with just my mom while she had a full entourage.

I want to surprise everyone with my gown!

How many people did you guys bring?

I too, only brought my mom with me, NOBODY, is seeing me until the wedding day!!!!

I had my second fitting on Saturday and I only brought my mom. My FMIL wanted to come, but I told her I wanted it to be a surprise.

Sad thing is my mom was oohing and ahhing over the girl next to me in this slinkly all lace strapless number. I was like, mom do you want to go give her a hug??!

She didn't give me a single compliment, but I love the way my dress is turning out. And it had to be taken in again, which means my diet is still working!

I invited the people in my department...because they always are interested on what I'm working on wedding related. At the beginning, they were like 'oh when we come to the wedding, yada yada yada'. So, I felt obigated to invite them....and they declined! I was so po'd. However...my one friend from work and my boss are coming (both with significant others).

Thanks. My mom and sister came to NJ when I bought the dress...so they actually got to see it on. But, nobody has seen it with the bustle up...and how it looks now. It's hanging up in my old room at my mom's house...I brought it there when I was visiting a few weeks ago.

I confirmed with the Cantor yesterday...confirmed with make-up today.

Going for my final meeting with hall on Tuesday (and to pay the balance). Going for final meeting with florist on Thursday.

We are almost there girls!!!

I checked the 15 day weather forcast...but it's not up to our day yet
