I'm not... but i think my mother and my bridemaids/MOH might drive me to be if one of them has to find something they don't like on every single bm dress i pick out!

They usually all agree, but one has to say something... pretty soon i'll be ordering one of the dresses from uglydresses.com

Re: ARE YOU A BRIDEZILLA???????

ugh - NO !!
I REFUSE to be one of those people who turns into an awful person b/c it's 'MY' wedding.......
Let me give all of the 'Bridezillas' a piece of advice (NOT that i'm saying anyone here is a Bridezilla)
You will make everyone around you so miserable and so resentful that they won't even want to show up the day of the wedding ! My cousin did it to herself 3 years ago when she got married, she was the most self obsessed, self important obnoxious B**ch and by the time the wedding came, we had all been trampled by her for the last time. - And SHE ended up feeling miserable at her own wedding b/c she finally realized the rest of us had had enough of her and wanted nothing to do w/ her. WE all had a great time, and SHE felt 'left out' of HER own day.

I don't want any drama surrounding my wedding. - It's a party !! It's all supposed to be FUN !!

No.. but maybe sometime I should be?
My wedding is Oct 1 and 3 of my bridesmaids still have not went for alterations on their dresses and it takes 2 weeks to get an appt! I have asked them NICELY many times. Maybe if I turn BRIDEZILLA on them, they will go?!

Maybe a little bit. Not to others though I just drive myself crazy. I second guess all but one of my decisions- saying yes to FH.

Re: ARE YOU A BRIDEZILLA???????

I would say in the couple of days before my wedding I BECAME a bridezilla. I had never really said much to anyone during the planning process. Not too many people offered to help with anything, so I did 99% of the work myself.

Finally, my 2 good friends (and bridesmaids) realized the weekend before my wedding that they felt bad because they never really helped with anything. So, they assembled my wedding programs the day before the wedding. They also went out to the store and bought the rose petals for my toss cones.

But, then at my rehearsal dinner, other BMs decided that they didn't like the jewelry that I chose (and purchased) for them. I stated, 'this is what you're wearing. exceptions will not be made' At that point (12 hours before my wedding) I was completely unwilling to discuss making any changes to what I had planned.

I have never lived it down that I 'forced' them to do something.

Define Bridezilla.

I think that I may have had my moments... I try to only reveal them to FH and my MOH because they know me and they know that they are just that.... moments. Sometimes you really need to VENT and just say IMDSFO ('It's my day so F --- off!')... especially when your BMs won't get off their asses to attend fittings, when the RSVP date passed and you are still missing about 60 RSVPs, when it's almost ONE MONTH before the wedding and NONE of the GMs have gotten measured for their tuxes, yet all these people in your BP still somehow find the nerve to call the BRIDE and ask HER to fix their computers!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grrr... see now, look what you did!!!

Re: ARE YOU A BRIDEZILLA???????

No. Bridezillas are nasty, selfish, completely unreasonable, and think everyone's world stops turning b/c they are getting married. -
You are justifiably annoyed !!

I don't think that I am, but I am sure the my FMIL might think so when I disagree with her opinion.

Re: ARE YOU A BRIDEZILLA???????

No way My BMs constantly told me how easy and laid back the whole process was. They were the BEST! And my mother did so much for me and for the wedding... With everyone's generosity and help, even considering being a bridezilla would've been selfishly brat-like! I truly think you can create a great day by being patient, choosing your bridal party very wisely, keeping things in perspective, accepting what cannot be changed, and not harping on every single tiny miniscule little detail of the day. Yes, it may be 'your day,' but in all honesty, who is going to have a fun time at your wedding if you've been a royal pain during the process? There are always snags along the way, but try to take 'em in stride. Being a bridezilla causes resentment, tension, and undue stress... who wants all that stuff magnified on the most beautiful, wonderful day of your and your groom's life??
