Are you and FH living together before you get married? Poll

...just wondering.

Me, I still live at home with my parents. My parents are very old fashioned and religious and believe a man and women should not live together until they are married...blah blah blah and would basically disown me if I lived with FH before we're married.

Plus, I think it makes marriage more exciting. I think it wouldn't be as exciting if you already lived with FH because then nothing much is really changing once your married.

we didn't move in together until about 3 wks or so before the wedding. my mom wasn't too happy with it, but i reminded her that we were getting married in a few wks, and when i was younger i did live with an ex-boyfriend...so it's not like i was some virginal bride!

No but we would if I lived in New York 20 more days we will live together for 10 days before our wedding but thats it!!!

Right now we both still live at home. But we plan on moving in together before the wedding, probably around the beginning of sept. (the wedding is in nov.) We just want to be settle into a place before the wedding so we have one less thing to worry about. If it wasn't for finances we would move in together now.

We lived together for about a year before we got married. I kind of liked it because now they are no surprises.

We've been together for more than 7 years....what's another 5 months?

I live at home w/ parents he lives on his own in apartment. I stay at his place 3-4 nights of the week, but still technically'live at home'. Once Sept comes around I am moving in.,

Yes, we will be living together for almost 9 months when we get married. I am happy that we chose to live together before getting married. I could not imagine living any other way.

I have lived with FH for like 6 years! Our parents are totally fine with it. And as Kara said - we are just as excited about our wedding as people who don't live together.

I didnt mean that you are less excited for your wedding if you lived together prior, what i meant is, on top of the excitment for the wedding day, you also have an ADDITIONAL excitement towards finally moving in together and living together that you dont have if you've already lived with FH beforehand.

We have been living together for the last 3 years... My great uncle use to say 'You want to live with the person first in order to get to know them; their habits, to see if you can get along together everyday and etc.. This way you fully know the person and you can make a better judgement'

We don't live together and won't until the wedding night (the plan is to stay in our new apartment for the first time on our wedding night!).

I never wanted to live with someone before marriage and I told this to my FH from the very beginning. But after a couple of years of dating, I would have LOVED to move in with him. He was even asking me a LOT to do it last year, but in the end it would have been a huge expense for us, we'd be paying more rent than we are now, and we decided not to. I also always looked forward to getting married and then moving in together - I mean, there will be an adjustment period whether you move in before marriage or after, so in our case it will just be after. I can't wait for our wedding night to go home TOGETHER!!!!

We moved into together after we got engaged (8 months ago). My parents were semi-old fashioned. Even though I pratically lived there, they didn't want us to live together until the engagement was official.
We love living together. We know not a heck of a lot will change when we're married, but we're just truly excited to be married to each other.

i love that we live together and have transitioned through that together, well adjusted into this before we get married. i know my sister moved in with a man she thought she would marry, this was years ago, and everything went to hell when they moved in together and they split. i like that I know what its like for us to live together and can feel good about that. its only brought us closer. i also think marriage is a big enough change in itself, that we dont really NEED the moving in together after for it to be anything more.

fh and i were long distance so long that when he finally moved here, there was NO chance we were gonna be living in separate places!!

to each his/her own!
