...just wondering.
Me, I still live at home with my parents. My parents are very old fashioned and religious and believe a man and women should not live together until they are married...blah blah blah and would basically disown me if I lived with FH before we're married.
Plus, I think it makes marriage more exciting. I think it wouldn't be as exciting if you already lived with FH because then nothing much is really changing once your married.

hell ya.. I made sure I could get along with him in a living situation before I committed.. Its a whole new ballgame when you live with someone.

We moved in together 4 years ago, much to our parents' disappointment, but it worked out in the end

We will be living together for 2 years this september. I believe that us moving together actually made us learn more about each other and I think we are so much closer now than we were before we moved in together. Both sets of parents dont have a problem with us living together.

We just signed a lease for a place. He will be moving in on June 15 and I will be moving there after the wedding.

we've been living together for over a year. i think its a good thing - bcause we know we are happy and 'work' well together.

We are in similiar situations..my parents would kill me if I lived with FH before marriage lol...and I agree with the new and exciting feeling you get once your married and finally living together..but thats JMO

well, fh is moving into the house i own w/ my mom in 3 weeks --yayyay! my parents were very traditional. my dadf passed away in dec. and my mom realized that james was perfect for me and we decided that james would move in once we were engaged which will be happening in a few weeks. :0 (i was slow choosing my fave ring).
I am sooooo excited that he's moving in but we will prob be getting married in july before he goes into teh academy (secretely at the jop) and have our planned wedding next july. His parents were ecstatic that we were living together first. I feel like we couldn't possibly spend another moment apart.

FI is packing up his apartment now to move in with me. Mom and Dad are not thrilled but we are in our mid 30's and it will help save a ton of $$$ before the wedding.

we are buying a house together so we will probably both move in 2 or 3 weeks before the wedding. Until now, we've both lived with our parents. That's been 6 1/2 YEARS of having to feel like we're in high school and having to meet up or go over to each other's house to hang out! Can't wait til we finally live together!

Moving in with FH before we are married is not even an option for me.. My parents would be pisssssssed!!! Sure FH & I have been together for 9 years but it's a fight that Is just not worh it Imo.

FH and I have been living together for 2 years. I wouldnt change a thing!!!! We are both too old for our parents to care - LOL!!!

Joe and I have lived together for 1 yr, and just got married. I am very neat and have a touch of OCD and Joe is VERY VERY messy. In January of 06 I cleaned his house and had to buy a rack before I could vacume. If we had not lived together first I don't know if we would be this happy together. It was really bad and took a lot of fighting and talking to figure out how to live together in peace. I also learned a lot about him and myself. It is very stressfull and I am glad we did it before hand. I do not need that stress right now

We've lived together for a little over 3 years now. I would not have done things any differently. We have learned so much from each other in this time, we have also grown closer as a result. I don't think this is for everyone...but given my past experiences and the situation w/ FH, I'm glad things worked themselves out that way.

FH and I bought our condo and then got engaged almost a year later :) I'm soooooo glad that we did it, but I understand that everyone is different in their situations.

We are not living together before the wedding. Although we did just buy a house, we have not actually slept there at all together. We want to keep it very traditional. We figured that since we've been together for 8 1/2 years that we might as well do it the right way! (No offense to anyone that is already living together!!)

Yes - We been living together for 5 year (dated for 2 years). We bought our apt 3 years ago, we share bank account and expenses. We're almost married and can't wait to make everything legal......its better to test the water

wow...according to the poll about 70% of couples live together before marriage and only 30% dont. I had no idea so many couples live together before they are married and that im in the minority.
