Just wondering.. we may be able to make it to our cocktail hour if we skip having a recieving line and shake a leg while taking photos.. part of me feeels like skipping the CH and entering the reception hall for the first time will be special and part of me feels like i would rather enjoy CH first even if when we enter the recreption hall we will have already seen everyone..
what are your thoughts?

Our ceremony is at 11 at church and our cocktail hour starts at 1:00....so with a receiving line and pictures, we are cutting it close.
I really don't mind either way; I'd love to be at part of it to see my guests, but at the same time I want to take advantage of that extra time to get some great pictures with DH

Nope I'm looking forward to making my grand entrance besides... Fh and I are already making plans for making our own cocktail at our bridal suite and I'm going to enjoy my whole hour with the lock on the door
ita. well.. dunno about the lock on the door part (although FH will def go for that lol)
i think it's different with me though.. i've made, literally 100's of grand entrances for other people and their kids for the past 5 years (by then it'll be 7 yrs )
I need it to feel different then work lol. I think by not going to cocktail it will help a little lol.
again.. i'm torn so game time decision

Yep, we plan to do all of our pictures before the wedding so we can attend the cocktail hour and mingle. If all goes well, my shy FH, will win out and we'll just have them announce us as the new couple at the cocktail hour and not some big display at the beginning of the reception.

After all of the money we are paying for this wedding... you bet your a$$ that we will be going to our CH! I want to enjoy it all
We also want to mingle with people so that we can party and drink without worrying about hitting up tables during the recpetion.

RH gives the BP a private cocktail hour, so we will not be at the one with all of the guest, so we can make a formal entrance at the reception. Plus we want that time for pictures and for ourselves to take in everything.

ABSOLUTLY! we are going to our cocktail hour. Our photographer promised us he will have all the photos done prior to our cocktail hour. I know he'll do because he did my cousin's wedding & my friends wedding......she did not have much time to do photos & he made it happen.....& the photos look great!
