Are you girls washing your hair on your wedding day??
This might be a strange question, but everywhere I read, it says don't wash your hair the day of your wedding b/c it will hold better, style better, etc. But the woman who is doing my hair on the day of said I can wash it and it's not a problem. Not sure, but what are you girls doing?? What have your stylists told you?? Thanks

I am having an up do, and when I got up dos in the past I always washed my hair right before getting it styled and I never had a problem.
My wedding is very early in the morning so for my wedding, I am washing my hair the night before.

Im washing my hair the night before, Im getting my hair done at 6:30am and I want as much sleep as possible!! plus, my hair when just washed won't stay as well in my updo

I NEED to wash it, I'll feel too gross if I don't.
Plus, the last time I got an updo, the girl put this stuff in my hair to 'dirty it up' she made me laugh, it was like a powder I think. Not sure exactly what it was but I guess it worked!

Probably not. They say for updo's it is better for your hair to be unwashed.

Nope, my hairdresser said not to. My hair is very soft after I wash it so it will be easier to work with if it's 'dirty'.

my hairdresser said the same thing. i'm going to wash and style my hair like i normally do the night before so that its ready for the next day.

Nope- the day before I am having my hair straightened (it would take up too much time the day of the wedding) So I cant wash it the morning of- I have super thick, curly, long hair and it needs to be done the day before- what can ya do

Same here also, I am going to wash it but not use conditioner.

My stylist told me to wash my hair on the Friday before my wedding, but the morning of the wedding, to not let it get wet at all, so I'm buying one of those shower caps, so I can wash the rest of myself before we leave for the salon.

No..I have naturally curly hair.
I will be getting a blow out the day before and then it will be better to manage when getting an updo.

I was told to wash my hair as far in advance as possible. I will probably do it the day before since it will be hot. Definately not the day of.
