Are you girls washing your hair on your wedding day??

This might be a strange question, but everywhere I read, it says don't wash your hair the day of your wedding b/c it will hold better, style better, etc. But the woman who is doing my hair on the day of said I can wash it and it's not a problem. Not sure, but what are you girls doing?? What have your stylists told you?? Thanks

I am an early morning bride... I will have my hair washed the day before and styled the day off.

i washed my hair the night before. i had an updo and my stylist told me to have clean and dry hair for the day-of

hey ladies


updos do come out better if you don't wash it that day. the hair gets soft and fly away if you wash it the day of. i tell my clients if they have oily hair to wash it the day of other wise try not too.

my wedding is also early in the morning, so i will wash my hair the night before. I will have an updo as well

i had them wash it for me, i love the way it comes out after the salon does it, they dried it so quickly anyways, I had a half up do and it lasted perfectly

Im washing my hair the night before, Im getting my hair done at 6:30am and I want as much sleep as possible!! plus, my hair when just washed won't stay as well in my updo


Same here....I have very curly hair and I am going to straighten it the night before (which takes forever) and then get it done that morning.

I did not do it the day of becuase my hair girl told me not to, and she was right. It came out so much better that way. I also thought I would feel dirty but I was ok.

I had to wash it that day....my hair gets oily way too fast. I skipped the conditioner, though.

I am. I have very oily hair, I don;t want to spend my wedding day feeling like a greaseball. If it needs more texture, they can use products.

my hair stylist told me not to wash my hair on my day, I decided to play it by ear. I ended waking up on the day of deciding to not wash it. I thought I would feel all gross but really I didn't. It worked out really well.

I've actually heard some brides say they didn't wash their hair for a few days before. it styles better when it's got oil and residue in it. weird, but true!

washing b/c when i sleep on it washed the night before (or not washing at all) A-my face feels gross the next day...cause i try to hard to not get my hair wet and my face doesn't feel clean to me...B-my hair gets it's oiliest at night. i was told it would be fine...and i'd do it anyway...i don't want it to look greasy mid-day!

I didn't---washed it the night before when gettign ready for rehearsal dinner.

I'm probably going to wash it the night before and have my sister blow it out that night so it's easier to style the next day.

this might sound funny, but I am going to shampoo just the very front in the morning...that's the part that would get oily if I don't.

I'm doing half-up.
