Are you going to do this....??

Anyone actually throwing the Bok and doing the Garter toss???

My aunt and my mom are bugging me to do it. I don't know if I want to. I feel with speeches, dances and this it will take away too much time from the wedding

What are you doing and do you think we have enough time to do it without getting guests all antsy in their seats and not on the dance floor??

My FH wants to do the garter thing - so we'll probably do that...but instead of all single men - we'll just ask that all the men join on the dance floor.

With the boquet - at my MOH's wedding last year - they did the years thing. Play the song and have people walk off the dance floor after they announce different lengths of time, 'If you have been married 2 hours, please exit the dance floor. If you have been married 10 years, please exit the dance floor, etc.'

The last couple left standing gets the boquet (or a separate one, not yours)...we liked that a lot!

Yes! I love that stuff., its interactive for the single girls to get up lol and the single guys to notice them....ONCE at a wedding I went up for the BOK toss and a Best Man came over and said 'oh your single' we dated for a while , it didnt work out DUH but its fun for the singles lol

Yeah, I think I may do the same. I'm not ecspecially found of either, but my mom might really want the bok toss. But NO way am I doing the garter thing. It's always seemed so creepy to me, lol.

yeah, i decided just the bok toss bc i always associate that as one of the things the bride does on her wedding day & i really want to do all the things i picture~but at the same time i've seen these things get lengthy & i'm all about avoiding taking time away from precious drinking & dancing!

haha yeah i have alot of single cousins and actually only one of my BM is dating someone and will possibly be engaged by my wedding so i figured i guess i should do it because my mom is so for it and my cousins think it would be fun....

but i feel bad if someone gets the garter that they dont want touching them haha so maybe have the guy blind folded and have another guy sit in the chair and use his hairy leg haha make it less creepy for the girl...

but do you get an extra garter then??? so you dont have to use your nice one!!

I guess it helps my decision that I don’t have ANY single BMs. Actually, I do have one, but she’ll have just turned 15 at the time and I don’t really want to encourage anything, lol. Come to think of it, there’s going to be a shortage of single people completely at the wedding. I’m the oldest in my family, so anyone who’s not single is too young to be concerned with not being single.

True, so thats great for you to just cut that out!

By the way to girls who are throwing their BOK., have ur florist make you a small BOK to throw if you want to save your BOK.
