Anyone actually throwing the Bok and doing the Garter toss???
My aunt and my mom are bugging me to do it. I don't know if I want to. I feel with speeches, dances and this it will take away too much time from the wedding
What are you doing and do you think we have enough time to do it without getting guests all antsy in their seats and not on the dance floor??

im not doing it as a guest, i hate when people do it and it stops everyone from dancing

I'm not doing either-- my sister tossed a bok at her wedding and I had to go up there and it was kind of embarrassing....especially since she threw it right at me and it ended up hitting me on the head! I just think the whole thing is awkward.

I think we're going to I don't think it takes up too much time. At my friends wedding they did it in the middle of dancing time and some people didn't even really notice they were doing it (most of them were reeaallllly drunk by that time too).

nope...i want to just toss my bo-k just for the sake of doing it...not to like a crowd of single girls.
i know no one will get up and try to catch it. i just went to a family wedding a month ago and they had to draaaagggg ppl onto the floor for both.

I am going to do it because it is usually funny, but to be honest I have been to alot of weddings recently without it and I have not missed it either. It also depends how many single people you have, if you do not have alot then it is not worth it.

We're not doing it... we're old and all our friends are married/ engaged/ serious. I am not singling out the 4 or 5 that may not be!
same here and having been a 'single' guest, i hate being forced up there!!!

With the boquet - at my MOH's wedding last year - they did the years thing. Play the song and have people walk off the dance floor after they announce different lengths of time, 'If you have been married 2 hours, please exit the dance floor. If you have been married 10 years, please exit the dance floor, etc.'
The last couple left standing gets the boquet (or a separate one, not yours)...we liked that a lot!
are you just going to have FH take the garter off you...You wont have him toss it will you?
I will wear 2 - and they'll both be Steelers ones - so he'll toss one and we'll keep one. He'll ask for all the sports fans to join on the floor. No one we know is a Steelers fan - so the reaction should be rather funny when they catch a Steelers garter...

I'm totally doing it! Although its sad and lame, I get so upset when there is no bouquet toss at weddings. Some traditions need to stay put, no matter how stupid or antiquated they seem.
