Anyone actually throwing the Bok and doing the Garter toss???
My aunt and my mom are bugging me to do it. I don't know if I want to. I feel with speeches, dances and this it will take away too much time from the wedding
What are you doing and do you think we have enough time to do it without getting guests all antsy in their seats and not on the dance floor??

i want to toss both but i also want to do an anniversary dance... so i'm not sure what we'll do.
i think it's fun. but i really dont think we'll be having the guy put the garter on the girl.

we are ... FH is really exctied to do the garter toss ... he wants to hide something up my dress and pull that out .. but i dont know about all that

what exactly is the anniversary dance?? i have never heard of this i am don a spotlight dance which i never heard of until my DJ told me is this the same thing ( i dont even know what the spotlight dance is for)

Yup, I've decided to do it. I have my 'throwaway' BOK ordered and will do the garter even though FH thinks our old-school Italian familes will be appalled LOL It takes about 8 minutes to do both..why not?

We're not doing it... we're old and all our friends are married/ engaged/ serious. I am not singling out the 4 or 5 that may not be!

I think I'm going to do it...but my sister didn't...instead she did an anniversary dance (couples are asked to dance to a slow song and then asked to sit when the MC calls out the number of years they have been married or together) The couple who has been married or together the longest receives the boK and the garter. It was nice and got more people involved!

we will probably do it.. but we aren't doing a mother/son father/daughter dance.. my dad isn't around and FHs mom has passed.. so the time used to do that we'll use for the Bok and garter toss.. i figure it'll work out

We're just giving away the bouquet...we're doing the Anniversary dance...where all the married couples get on the floor and get eliminated based on how long they've been married. The couple that's married the longest gets the bouquet. We're not doing anything garter related.

Not doing it. I think I can count on one hand the amount of single guests we'll have so I wouldn't subject the 2 single girls I'm having to that or the 4 single guys.

i dont know.. i just wouldnt want the people who catch the bouquet and the garter to do the whole thing -its awkward if they dont know eachother and whatever. but for the bride and groom to do it could be cute...im undecided
