Boss to your wedding? Mine is super nice but I am so over my limit as it is. Feel bad, but I think at the same time I might be saving him $$, a babysitter, and his wife from not knowing anyone.

Though I'm switching jobs I will invite my boss and a few of my co-workers because I've worked with them for a while and we've established a friendship on some level.

I am inviting my boss and alot of my co-workers. I have been here 7 years and everyone is like family. And plus my dad has worke dher eover 20 years so i know I have to! I have about 3-4 tables already. Hopefully some say no.

well my uncle is the CEO of my company so ultimately yes I am inviting my boss haha.

But I really am only inviting 3 people that I work with that I am close with and their spouces. I like my district manager who is my main supervisor but it would be weird inviting him to my wedding. And plus I would rather have family and friends there than co-workers. So I am only inviting those 3 co-workers who are my friends and we have all invited each other to BBQ's and Sweet 16 for one of their daughters etc.

I'm a teacher and feel weird about inviting my principal and assistant principal so I'm not inviting them. My F.H is inviting his boss but scared that his boss will come and see him drink and party,

This is a good topic...
I want to invite my 2 bosses, but then I also have 2 upper managers as well, and I'm so confused as if I should invite them or not. I figured it would look so bad inviting 2 and leaving 2 out..so I figured i'd invite all 4 of them (which would total 8 with their spouses) in hopes that they decline since they wont really know anyone else there.

See here's how it goes I worked in a dispatch center for the past 8 years and my boss got a promotion and left. About a year later he needed a clerk, and chose me out of about 30 girls to work for him. So since September I 've been working for him and just two days ago he moved my office to the nicest one in the building! He is super nice!
So I feel really bad, but I kind of think that he already knows that he isn't on the list..oops! So would it be really bad if I didn't? If I wasn't paying for this myself I would invite every1! How about if I put them on the B list?

i think the B list is fine. I am paying for my wedding myself and that is why I am not going crazy I would rather have family and friends there than my boss haha. So I am not inviting my main supervisor just 3 people i am friendly with but then again i work in a state facility that has offices all over NY so its a big company. I dont think you should feel bad about not inviting people from work. i know you see them everyday but if yuo dont talk to them on the phone after work, or hang out etc i dont think you should feel the need to and i dont think they should expect to be invitied. but maybe the B list is a nice thing for your boss!

I haven't decided yet but am leaning towards no. I am inviting a few co-workers that I am frieds with and their significant others.

FH is inviting all of his bosses and several of his co-workers. He has a different relationship with them though and actually is friends with his boss.

yes, i'm inviting all of the co-workers on my team, so my boss is invited. she actually lives in MA so i'm hoping she'll come...2 other co-workers are from MA so maybe they'll all come together.
