will probably end up doing it sometime soon this year. fh has just been depositing money into my accounts to make wedding payments.

we already do.. we have had a joint checking and savings one year before our engagment... glad to see it worked out...

FH and I moved in together in May (or so). We opened a joint checking account together. We did the math and decided how much the bills are and how much we need to deposit each paycheck (bi-weekly). We kept our seperate accounts (where our checks are deposited). FH asked yesterday if we'd get rid of our individual accounts once we're married...I got nervous and didn't answer.

We have a joint checking acct. right now. I plan on keeping my personal savings, and will prob. cancel my personal checking acct. when we get married.

we each have our own accounts, but just opened joint checking and savings, mostly for the wedding and also to practice

We have our own checking accounts, but we have a joint savings..

But SHHHHHHHHH FH doesn't know about my secret emigrant savings account

We each have our own accounts now but plan on opening a joint account soon.

All of our accounts are joint, and they have been for awhile

we opened a joint checkin gto save for the wedding, we called it our wedding fund. after we got married we closed our individual accounts. so now we have a joint checking and savings. we didn't have any trouble at all making our joint account work. i am in charge of our finances (have been for some time now) and its easier for me to keep track when the money is all in one place.

we've been married for a year and a half already!!! we have both joint checking/savings AND seperate checking/savings. we each pyt an equal percetage into the joint every month to pay for groceries, mortgage, any house stuff that comes up... but we also each still have our own seperate accounts which i like because i don't feel bad if i want to buy myself some new clothes or whatever, because i know all of the necessities are covered already from the joint account. its just nice to still have money thats 'mine'. its worked out really well so far

Right after our engagment party we opened a joint checking-savings. We also still have our own seperatly.

We already have a joint savings account. We had to open one after we got engaged cause people started to send us $$.

We haven't decided yet if we're going to open a joint account. Currently, we both bank at the same place and have our accounts linked to transfer money back and forth.

We have a joint savings account. This way we both have access to it with out any problems. Also we have no atm card so it makes it it harder to just grab money out.

Right now, our accounts are separate. Right before we get married, or once we buy the house, everything will be joint. No separate accounts for us!
