Yes because we wanted to spend more time with our guest, we even added an hour entire reception making it 6 hours. I want to celebrate!!!!!!!!!!!

Well we want to make the grand entrance... plus I have tv's in the bridal suite so I can see whats going on and we will have all the CH food catered to the room... I need time to breath and relax and touch up my makeup and hang out with my bm's for a little while.. it will probably be the last time I spend quality time with them and FH all night.

at first i was going to say OF COURSE are you crazy but wow what a good point about the entrance

i am thinking and that is tough but i want my cocktail hour!!! hmmmm wow this is not going to be easy.

All our pictures will be done prior to the ceremony. We will be in the cocktail hour for the whole time. We want the opportunity to talk with everyone, because when the reception starts, you woun't get to talk to anyone for more then a second.

We went and really enjoyed it. We greeted everyone there and had more time to dance during the reception. I didnt want to miss a minute of my wedding!

I want to go..of couse everyone ( family & friends) is telling me No...we'll see. I want to enjoy everything I'm paying for ..we have cameras to see also but it's not the same..

I totally agree! Besides, I'll be taking pics through most of the cocktail hour and then I'll have my own cocktail buffet set up in my bridal suite with my DH and the rest of the gang.

it's not like your guests haven't seen you already (ceremony/mass). i am definetly attending the cocktail hour. want to mingle and start making the rounds.

ETS: you don't have to stay for the full time, make an appearance and then slip away. i don't think attending your CH will ruin the grand entrance.

We did.. we were a little late b/c we were taking pics but i wanted to go to my cocktail hour. we said hi to many people. We did that so we didnt have to spend our whole reception going around and saying hi to everyone. We danced, ate, ( little) talked to people.. we enjoyed our reception....

people were just as excited to see us come out for the first time even though they saw us in cocktail hour...
