Re: Are you walking down the aisle.............
Not a chance. This is not an arranged marriage where my face needs to be covered up so the groom doesn't run away. This is a choice I'm making myself, and I'm walking into it with eyes wide open. The blusher tradition is about being pure and innocent and virginal, and none of that is at all appropriate to my relationship.
To me, having your face covered feels like walking into something with your eyes closed, without sight or thought, hidden from view until the time when your husband can 'claim' you and therefore it's ok for the rest of the world to see you, because you don't have to be kept 'pure' anymore.
I know lots of others don't feel that way, and that's absolutely fine, but I feel really strongly about this for myself and there is no way I would have my face covered.

I'm undecided. I'll wait till that day to see how it looks if I cover my face.
Same here, I can't decide!!

I'm not - I guess I feel like it's more for brides being 'give away' by their father. I'm a little older and live with my FH. I'm not kidding anyone

i'll wear it walking down and then when my dad gives me away to FH he will pull my veil off my face.
That's how I'm doing it.

Re: Are you walking down the aisle.............
I am wearing a net veil, so yes I will wear it covering my face and then have my brother (who is walking me down the aisle) pull it back. For the reception I will wear a tiara and no veil.

yes... I was dead set agaisnt it but then I tried on a blusher and LOVEDDDD it with my dress.
its only for walking down the aisle and then its done and your face is shown the rest of the day so I dont think it will 'hide' your hair or makeup much
I think this looks sooo great, You are making me have second thoughts about a blusher!
ps..I don't think its quite as radical (like you're wearing a burqua or something) as some people have posted about the blusher..I think it is very romantic.

I think so. It looks so bridal...adds to the whole bridal mystique IMO

Re: Are you walking down the aisle.............
I am absolutely wearing a blusher! It made me feel like a real bride...I dont know why but I love the look and I love how I felt. I know there is tradition behind it, but I want it despite what it may be.

Re: Are you walking down the aisle.............
I've never thought not to wear it... I think it makes the ceremony more real... I envision my FI looking at me while my dad takes it off and I think it will be a very sentimental moment for everyone....

I am wearing the blusher, I like the way it looks, and I guess the whole tradition and sentiment behind it for me.

Re: Are you walking down the aisle.............
I am because when my Father gives me away, I want him to lift it off my face in front of FH and be able to see FH's face right then and see what his reaction is! That, and I can't imagine not doing it!

Re: Are you walking down the aisle.............
I dont want anything in front of my face obstructing my view - thats a recipe for disaster for me. Plus I feel its to old school for me, I live with my FH.

Defiantly wearing the blusher I love the way it looks. I am a very traditional girl.

Re: Are you walking down the aisle.............
My first instinct was no, and then I actually tried it like that in the store, and it was still no! I think I'm a little too claustrophobic for that!

I probably will. I agree with the tradition of it.
