No, I'm not. I feel like my dress is so busy that a veil would just be too much. My dress has a lot of beads and so I went with a really simple veil.

My veil went under my hair in the back and I chose not to do the blusher. I didn't want something puffy behind my head doing the ceremony. I was afraid that it would look funny from behind...I know it sounds dumb but I was anal about how my dad may have lifted the veil then he may have folded it back wrong...blah blah blah...

YUP!!!! definately using a blusher!

Same here, My dad will be walking me down also. I am borrowing older sister's blusher and twin sister's catheral veil.

No, I'm wearing a mantilla, and I don't like the way a blusher looks with that style.

I wore my veil over my face only because DH wanted to unveil me for the first kiss. Otherwise I would not wear it over my face.

Not a chance. This is not an arranged marriage where my face needs to be covered up so the groom doesn't run away. This is a choice I'm making myself, and I'm walking into it with eyes wide open. The blusher tradition is about being pure and innocent and virginal, and none of that is at all appropriate to my relationship.

To me, having your face covered feels like walking into something with your eyes closed, without sight or thought, hidden from view until the time when your husband can 'claim' you and therefore it's ok for the rest of the world to see you, because you don't have to be kept 'pure' anymore.

I know lots of others don't feel that way, and that's absolutely fine, but I feel really strongly about this for myself and there is no way I would have my face covered.

I absolutely agree with you, i feel the same way!

it's a tradition in my family to wear the blusher as u walk down the aisle and for the father of the bride to remove it once u reach the altar so i will be following the tradition

Yes for me. I like the way the blusher completes the 'look'

Not wearing it down here...
I am not a big fan of having it in my face!

Plus - when we did the Tyra Banks show last month - I couldn't wait to take it off after it was in my face for about 10 minutes!

I'm wearing it but only because that's how FH wants it, and honestly, I can't really imagine doing it any other way.
