Are your fiance's parents paying for anything?

Are your fiance's parents paying for anything?

Just curious... my parents are footing about 80% of the wedding costs, we're doing about 20% and my fiance's mom is doing the rehearsal dinner...

I know there are different versions of who should pay what depending on what 'tradition' you go by... how is everyone here doing it? I would like to ask his mom to help with limos or videographer or something to help lessen the blow for us. It's so awkward and stressful!

Although they told us they were paying for the traditional grooms stuff they are only paying for the rehearsal dinner.

Both sets of parents were on a fixed income and contributed what they could. We solved much of that problem by paying for it mostly ourselves.

The day we went to sign the contract fmil and ffil came along with my father and fh to see the place because they had never heard of it. When our bm came in with the contract for my dad to sign it, ffil offered to pay for half of everything...it was very sweet, my father was blown away. It was a nice start to the union of our families

We are all paying, we're very lucky that both our parents are helping us out with the wedding costs.

Yes, they are giving an equal amount.

They actually said they would pay for their guest's plates. Not sure if we will hold them to it, though. And we haven't crossed the rehearsal dinner bridge yet.

We are very fortunate - our parents split the cost of the wedding 50/50. We paid for the 'extra' stuff (invites, favors, yarmulkes, etc....)

My FI parents are on a fixed income. So I highly doubt that theirhelping in any way. My mother however bought my dress, and all the necessities I need along with it. If I need help with anything else, I'm sure she will help. All I have to do is ask.

So far they are paying for the rehersal dinner which is good b/c that is one last thing we have to pay for! I guess we will se how generous they are feeling when thigs get closer.

My FH's parents are just paying for the rehearsal dinner. They aren't in the best financial situation so I didn't want them to have to save up or feel 'strapped for cash' in any way.
