in the 'Lame or Cute' post---there was some drama....and a poster made a comment, 'you're from Suffolk county right?' implying that Suffolk residents are 'hicks'

you girls are hysterical. Whenever fh and i go out in strasburg, va (where he's from) his dad says, hey, krys and jim watch out for all the red necks out there!' it's pretty funny. and i love how the people there take part in 'red neck pride!'

I grew up in the next town over, There are squirrels and plenty of sea gulls... It's such a nice area, I would love to live there again, but it adds too much time to FH's commute, so we're in conjested nassau

funny this is a thread, and i hope my FH doesnt see this..im from nassau and hes from suffolk, we moved in together in a house in suffolk county where we are living now..i HATE it here lol...i feel like he brought me out here to kill me
i know most people dont realize it, but it IS definately different..im not saying nassau is better, or the city is better or whatever, im just saying if youre not from here, its DEFINATELY different.

p.s..the funny thing is, (and please spare me from jumping all over my ***, im just being honest cause i think this is funny) DH and i have this argument all the time, when things go wrong here, or we meet someone slightly idiotic, i tell him 'thats cause we're in suffolk'
lol. sorry girls, its just a joke we have..dont take it so personal
