Re: Atlantis Aquarium quotes
A hotel? That would be sooo cool!!!! Have they had any bridal showcases or food tasting there yet?
Has anyone gotten any quotes for a Saturday night there? I know friday runs about $85.... but I was wondering if there was a major difference in price for Saturday.

I did have my food tasting that was going to be the deciding factor and the chef just cooked for us and we sat in front of a beautiful fish tank and drank our wine and had great food the chef cooked up food for a 5 star restaurant!! I was great!! They don't do wedding showcases u have to put a deposit down to even have a food tasting and then u make your decision to stay or go else were but we were sold!! I'm so excited and i can't wait to post the picture when i'm finished! we also had our photographer go out there and take some picture cause the lighting is different than having it at a regular catering hall and they came out great!! Next month the Dj is going out there to get a feel for the place!! I definitly recommend if u are not using there people to definitly have your people go check it out before hand to make sure they can do it because it is a unique place!! hope that helps!
I just have to say this all sounds so cool!
I hope you realize I wasnt saying anything bad at all! (with my smell question) honestly i think its an awesome idea! I would love to go to a wedding there. I think it so unique and something that people wont forget!
Here are some pics. It is dark in there, so it's hard to get good pics. We were seated upstairs and the overview one of the tank--that was right next to us, along with that huge turtle that kept us company too! I remember the service being good. The cocktail hour didn't have stations, just some passing au'dourves (totally spelled that wrong! LOL) and some cheese and crackers on a table. like i said before, they did a buffet so there really wasn't a lot of food, bu ti remember it being ok. it was cool to see the shark tank while we waited in line. the best part to us, was walking around and taking in all the fish and sea creatures. we even got to pet stingrays! We love aquariums so it was really neat for us. It is great if you are having kids @ the wedding too. Keeps them busy! The other cool part was that they had a ride for everyone to go on. It was like a simulation submarine ride. oh, and the cake you see was not from the place. The bride's stepmom has a cake business, so she made it! I remember the dessert being great though, they passed around chocolate covered strawberries to each table! yummy! It was definetely different than any other wedding we had been too.
bump...so you can see the pics i posted!
Your right, lighting is pretty bad. Then again, Im not one for flowers and I was all ready thinking of having candle centerpieces. Thanks for the pics though, I really appreciate it!!
FOR MY CENTERPIECES FOR THEIR I'M DOING CANDLES IN THE CENTER WITH SEASHELLS AND SAND AROUND IT!!
Are you making your own centerpieces or did is your florist taking care of that? Im not sure who to go to regarding candle centerpieces. I was thinking of renting small candelbras for each table.
nostressbride...that is a great centerpiece idea!
Yes i'am making my own center pieces!! I got sand from the beach shell that i found in barbabos, aruba and on the island got bleached out for smell and i also bought shells!! the candles i got from Michael's craft store and glass plates to put them on and a hurricane top to put over the candle!!
Does the Aquarium provide anything other than the linens?
as far as what are u looking for? u have to get everything just like u would for a catering hall!! They do provide valet parking top shelf liquor your wedding cake any way u want it made! waiting staff etc.
