Has anyone tried putting Swarovski crystals on their veil themselves? I just found out that the veil I want is going to be $60 more for them to put Swarovski crystals on it. I think that's a lot to pay for something I'm only going to wear at the ceremony!!

I thought about it doing it myself but in the whole scheme of what I'm paying for my outfit, I just shelled out the extra cash.

i wouldnt attach the crystals. two of my friends did that and they regretted it because the crystals ruined some of their pictures- they flashed in the light - which ruined some of their favorite pics..

My mom and I did this to my veil. I agree with you - I didn't want to shell out so much extra money for something I felt I could do myself.
My mom bought the crystals and rhinestones at Michaels and we used fabric glue to attach them. If you work carefully and make sure you don't use too much glue, you should be fine.
My veil came out beautiful!

you can put the crystals on the veil just not on the Blusher... when putting it on the blusher.. you will have that problem of the crystals messing up the pics. You could add it to the veil on the back catherdral or elbow/fingter tip?

That's exactly what we did. We didn't put them on the blusher - I thought it would look wierd with 'spots' over my face lol.

You can use a regular needle and 'clear/transparent' thread.
I did it for mine... only to take them off after I was done. It was taking away from the dress.
