Yeah, I passed by the outside last week and their still doing some major construction. Big plow machines in the parking lot. Don't worry, its going to look fabulous, I'm not worried.

And yeah, I'm definitely using their linens, why the extra headache.


i'm thinking of using nicer linens b/c my centerpieces are VERY simple and i'd like to add to the table in some way besides candles.

Ive been considering that too....Im not crazy about polyester catering hall tablecloths and i think it just ups the class factor a notch...especially since i want simple cp's too

going tonight to make the menu. I get to see the new Emerald room! Unfortunatly, I don't have a digital camera. I will have to see what I can do.

Are you making the menu with your BM? If so, how does that work? FH and I have basically been doing everything by ourselves. Are you going to discuss each dish with your BM?

I don't know if they provide menus. It was not on the list of things they provide when they gave me that packet, so currently I am assuming they don't.

I am meeting with 2 BMs to make my menu, but I am not sure that is the way it is for everyone. I am vegan and FH is vegitarian so we are working on a non meat menu that everyone will like (we are an Italian family so it shouldn't be too hard). Thankfully they recently did an all vegan even recently.

dont think they make you menus...but i remember hearing they can give you direction and placecards...very basic looking though

I am going to make my own menus...jus type them up on nice cardstock and i saw that i can get a tiny easel and rest it on that...i will only put 2 on each table...people can share and pass it around



DARCY!!!! NO PICTURES!!!???? Thats its...you are dead to me. but i hope your menu making will go well LOL

PS- go buy one of those new disposable digital cameras.....if you need, ill pay for it! Im dying to see that room!!!!

I was thinking of get one of those cameras. But how do you download? I am thinking you actually have to use all the pictures, then bring them in to get put on a cd or something. I will look into it.

As for the Emerald room...it looks great. Sorry i don't have any pictures but you will enjoy it . The dance floor space has been open up and the detail was great.
