I feel like every single 09er is pregnant and a lot weren't planned lol
does anyone worry or think that they will get pregnant sooner than later
and is there really a lot of you out there that wants to get pregnant right away??
Honestly I have a puppy and moved in with FH about 3 months ago. I thought i wanted a kid a year after marriage but now i don't think i want any because FH and my pup are really a lot to handle - i could never imagine having a kid
and just a piece of advice - make sure you live with FH for a while before you have a kid because you might not think things will change but it was a huge adjustment at least for me

Re: Babies
FH and I have been living together for over 6 months, but we're getting married when I'm only going to have been out of school for a few months, so I think we will wait at least until I have had a steady job for a while - I don't want to take mat leave when I haven't been there that long. So we will probably wait between 6 months-a year to get pregnant.

We'll probably wait a year or so until I stop taking BC. I definitely am not ready for children yet.

i agree... living together is a hugeee adjustment. i thought it would be a piece of cake but we've been living together for 14 months now and its been tough. great, but tough. we dont want kids for a few years... i'm still in school and at a crappy job, and we're only 21 and 23. his dad keeps pressuring us to start a family immediately and i want to wait until i'm at least 24 or 25.

I waited till I was 28 and I am glad I did. I don't think I could of did it any younger. It is alot to handle but you find a way to make it work.

FH and I live together for years and we are a bit older so if we have children, it will be sooner than later. It is a huge adjustment and I came from a big family, wanted a big one too. I changed my mind after moving in with FH. But I still want a family.

Re: Babies
I think it all depends on your expectations and where you are in life. I've been living with FH for 8 months and while it was a transition it really wasn't THAT much different from what I expected. We definitely want a family (not 100% on exactly when yet) and I expect that will be a big transition also . . . BUT it's a transition that I feel ready at this point in my life to make.
If you don't feel ready then it's probably a good idea to wait a while-or just don't have children at all if that's what you want. It's definitely a huge change and a lot of work and I see nothing wrong with not doing it if you're not ready.

Re: Babies
we've been together almost 8 years and living together for a year and a half. definitely glad we did that before the wedding. we're finally settling into a groove, but there are still rough days here and there. we do plan to try right away though just because i've been on BCP for 14 years and i think it's going to take a bit for my body to adjust. and at 30 I don't want to wait too long to try just incase I run into problems. so I will go off BCP after the HM.

Re: Babies
I think we are basically ready but we want to travel a lot in the next year as newlyweds so it will delay us a year or so.
