Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties Are Tonight! Vent...

I don't want it to snow!!! We're both going into the city to do different things and there's isn't supposed to be too much there, but I'm really annoyed.

Yesterday FH called me at like 4:30 to tell me this and it has set me off about the wedding. I have not been stressed out at all about anything and people have even commented on how calm I am and now I feel totally stressed out about everything! What if my party ***** tonight? What if one of my BMs doesn't show up because she has been an absent friend since her life is stressed out and she can't be bothered to care about other people? What if the snow ruins everything? It's supposed to snow on the day of the wedding. What if we can't take pictures outdoors? What if the room looks to bare because I didn't get a lot of flowers? What if my hair doesn't look right because my cousin is doing my hair and she lives in Florida and won't be able to do a practice run on me? What if my mom brings my grandma to the bridal suite when we're getting ready (when I asked her not to because she has been horrid to me ever since getting engaged and I don't want to deal with that on my day)? What if my mom ***** in general on the wedding day? What if half of FH's family doesn't show up? What if I look fat? What if the DJ is bad? What if I get too drunk? What if I don't get drunk and I'm totally miserable the whole night? What if it snows on Monday when we are supposed to get on the plane for the HM? lksjdflksdfdskfj.

I'm so depressed and angry now. And it's all so ridiculous because these are all things out of control and I know I should let it go and not care, but I didn't care AT ALL until yesterday when FH brought this up. And then I saw the movie Bride Wars with one of my BMs and I just totally lost it. Ugh.

Awww...I'm sorry that you're upset about everything now. I think it happens to the best of us getting closer to the big day. I think everything will work out just wonderful. It's not supposed to start snowing until 7pm, I hope, and its' not going to be just snow but some rain too. How are all you guys getting around...in a taxi and limo..? I think you'll be fine. As for everything else.... I'm sure your friend from FL will do your hair exactly how you want it...even if she deosnt get to do a trial first...she wil fix it so you like it on your day. FHs will show up... Etc etc. I think you just need to breathe. Just think about going out tonight and having fun. You're going to have a wonderful wedding...

I know. And I keep telling myself (and other people who are in the same boat) that no matter what happens it's your wedding day and you will love it. I guess I'm just stressed, or disappointed about the things I wanted that we couldn't afford to get, or maybe this is early post wedding-blues? Or all of the above. Meh.

Aww I know the feeling. my parents were suppose to pay for my whole wedding. I am their only daughter and they gave me a $75,000 budget.

FF to now my brother got himself into a bind and needed the money. It was pretty much a life or death situation and we all had to pitch in. Unfortunately my brothers monumental mistake cost me my wedding budget. So we are now paying for it ourselves

I know the wedding blues feeling. I am trying to focus on the things that i do have control of.

I think you should take a deep breath, go try your dress on, and then go out and do something to keep your mind off of wedding stuff. Go to the gym, go buy a honeymoon outfit, get yourself some low fat ice cream or something (a few extra calories won't kill you).

Before you relax, you can also make some phone calls to maybe your mom, etc. if you have to to make sure she won't do the things that will make your day $uck too. I'm all for giving people a stern talking-to if they need one. And assign either your MOH or a BM to control your mother's behavior.

You won't look fat, the room will be beautiful, and you'll be so happy that you're marrying that man of your dreams that the little stuff won't matter.

Aww, hon You can't focus on the what ifs... If we did that then we'd never do anything... All you can do is hope for the best. I'm sure you're party is going to be a blast tonight, the snow is supposed to change to rain later and overnignt. As for next week, you are not even going to be able to focus on any of these little issues on your day. You will be so caught up in becoming a wife to the love of your life, partying with friends and family and dancing the night away. Just take a deep breath and relax, everything will be perfect!!!!!

Deep breath! One of my bff and bms flowers never showed up at her wedding, and after a minor breakdown and pouring champagne down her throat, no one noticed!! it was an awesome wedding, everyone enjoyed the food, drank a lot, danced all night and didn't notice the flowers at all.
so at the end of the day, all the what ifs don't matter!

It looks like we arent getting as much snow as they thought! So relax and have an amazing time!!

Like the lightest covering on one or two sidewalks .. and it's actually warmer than yesterday. . . remember things can only stress ya if you let them. I know that's easier said than done. . but try to just enjoy b/c either way it will be over fast so

I am on the same page as you. Freaking!!! FH keeps telling me not to worry about things I can't control.

Yeah, unfortunately FH is very stressed as well because his parents are kind of deadbeats. Especially his dad, so he's been upset.

I'm trying trying to follow all the advice from you lovely ladies. Deep breaths, remind myself to be rational, and have a big glass of wine tonight.
