Bachelor Party

How do you ladies feel about your fh having bachelor party?

Re: Bachelor Party

I am fine with my FH having a bachelor party. I am having a bachlorette party and it is only fair that he has one for himself as well. I am not setting rules down for him, bc whatever he does he will have to live with, but I know he wouldn't ever do anything like that. Hes not that kind of guy!

Are you not OK with FH having a bachelor party?

He is going to vegas and I gave him a few rules:

1. Don't get arrested.
2. Don't gamble all of our money away.
3. Don't have sex with another woman.
4. Don't have sex with another man.

:) :)

I trust him completely and he deserves to have fun with his friends!

I am ok with it, we actually were thinking of doing a huge dinner and all of us going out together.

For my bachlorette i think we are doing a spa day for the girls!!

I do not know what they are planning for fh and dont want to know. I am a very jealous person so i just told him don't do anything stupid.

Does it bother you??

I was okay until I went on his facebook page to get some of his families addresses to send save the dates and I saw him talk to his friend saying his bachelor party is going to be f*#k%N wild because his best friend and cousin will be planning it. Best friend not so much into strippers cousin into strippers and the friend he was talking to is so into strippers and the single life. So now I feel I can't trust him. Our mutual friends got married and she put so many rules and my finace and all the guys thought it was lame. I really don't want to be like that. We ordinally planned on doing a duo party....but that got throw out the window. I guess I feel uneasy about it and wanted to see if I was alone?

I did feel the same way that I don't want to know what was going to go on, but instead I planned my bachelorette party the same weekend, so I can just be with my girls and not have to think about what hes doing! I do trust him, but hes with his friends and they seem to do crazy stuff, esp one of his friends, who is a real trouble maker and thats the last thing i need 2 weeks before the wedding! The guys are going to Boston to a baseball game and going to bars and what not and us girls are going to Fire island, rented a house and will go out at night and beach during the day! We're both going for the weekend. Might sound lame, but it will work for me!

Re: Bachelor Party

I find it annoying that this is all guys talk about. Its not about the wedding or getting married? My fiance really isn't like that but I know he will be getting drunk. I also think why don't you want to have a duo party? What are you hiding? I even said we could go to a strip joint but I would be there in the back round. Idk I just feel really insecure now.

I told FH he can do whatever he wants to do for his party...I'm not giving him any rules and he is not giving me any. I think you should trust your FH to not do anything stupid, at the end of the day he probably wont do anything bad!!

I'm okay with it. We talk about it a lot and he's reassured me that it's not going to be insane. It's just a time for the guy to hang out with his guy friends, get too drunk, throw up and pass out. I don't love the strippers idea, but it is what it is. They'll go to one and have drinks and leave.

If you have concerns or insecurities about the whole thing, I'd talk to him about it and let him know how you feel and see what he says.

I have talked to him about it several times. We end up fighting. I am sure nothing will happen but I can't stop my brain from wondering. I wanted to do the duo party but he wants one last night with his guy friends as a single man. (right) I think its so stupid all the hype about it. More so from the guys.

This! Just be honest with him and tell him how you feel. He loves you, so obviously he would keep that in mind

Re: Bachelor Party

My FH deserves to have a good time at his bachelor party whatever they end up doing. My two rules were no private stripper parties, and no lapdances at a strip club. Unfortunately we've had several arguments about the 2nd rule as he doesnt want to be rude if his friends buy him one. I COMPLETELY trust him I just think its disgusting and I hate the thought of it. But I've decided to just not ask questions and let it be because I don't want to fight about it anymore. If its the thought of it that bothers me if I don't know about it then I guess I'm good. lol

Re: Bachelor Party

We aren't having a bachelor or a bachelorette party. We discussed this and agreed its not something either of us wanted to do.

However, if we decided to have one. I definately would not want there to be strippers. There is no need for either him or I to be grouped, touched or danced on by anyone.

But I do believe whether you two fight about his bachelor party. I still feel that you need to express your concerns but also allow him to express his. Listen to one another. As someone else suggested, maybe its easier for you to plan your bachelorette party when he has his to help with the thoughts of what he might be doing and live it up with your party. Remember, you two are here to share in a lifetime commitment.

I LOVE that!

I'm good with the FH going to Vegas... even gave the boys each others numbers. I trust them enough to not worry. I guarantee you I'll go on a shopping spree that weekend though...

Re: Bachelor Party

I'm glad to know that I am not alone. I feel like the bachelor party is more important than the wedding. I don't know if I am having a party because my sister thinks they are tastseless. So if I do its me throwing it. His sisters are in the wedding party so I will have eyes watching me. Not that I would do anything bad just drink and dance. I tried reversing it and said how would you feel if I had a guy rubbing up on me. He just laughed and said I know your not like that which is true. I think guys are okay until they are drunk and have peer pressure then I'm not sure.

He needs to know that he hasn't been single in a looooong time. I hate when guys AND girls say 'my last night out as a single man/woman' I think that just sets up such a 'hype' as you said and people get out of control.

That being said, DH and I did a joint party to Vegas. The guys stayed in two rooms, the girls stayed in two rooms. We had a joint night out in a party bus, then a girls night out/ guys night out as well. It was so much fun and it was DH's idea to do a joint. He also HATES the idea of a guy's junk in my face so he knows he can't go to a strip club either. No double standard for us. My girls did want to take me to a strip club and I said no. A few guys wanted to take DH to strip club in vegas too and he said no as well. That's not being rude, it's respecting your partner.

I wouldn't have hate minded SO much if he went to a strip club but absolutely no lap dances or private strippers.

Just letting you know that you are NOT alone in how you feel but you can't force FH to have a joint if he doesn't want to. I don't think that means he is hiding anything. BIL didn't even drink at his bach party and they were at a strip club. DH said BIL was so bored so good guys won't get out of control just because its a bach party

Re: Bachelor Party

UGH! MEN! LOL Don't get upset. My FH likes the duo idea but I don't. I really don't want a bachelorette party. I might do a tea party with the girls in NYC and thats more to my liking. I could care less about stripper men because its just not my thing and I've been to more clubs in my life then I needed to. But yeah I think it's lame when women put all types of rules out there for b-parties. I hope they go see strippers so they could all say they had a great time and that will be that. FH would never ever do anything to hurt me so I'm ok with him oogling girls and them dancing on him like strippers do and my brother will be there so that's a plus! LOL send in some reinforcements...have any brothers or guy cousins that will supervise without acting like they are supervising? LOL

Don't worry...let him have that last great hoorah..hes not going to do anything that would hurt you. He finds you to be the most beautiful and amazing woman in the world or else he wouldn't marry you!!
