For my bachelorette party, I am taking a limo with 9 girls into the city for the night. We want to do dinner and some kind of bar/club hopping after. Any suggestions as to where to go? The only suggestions I have gotten so far are awesome 80s prom and bar 13 or something like that. Do you have to dress up all 80s for the awesome 80s prom? Bc I do not want to do that, I want to dress nicely in a cute dress. I'd love to hear suggestions! TIA!

Yeah soon were gonna start having birthday bbq's in someone backyard cause everyone gonna be too tired to go out. Im already at the point where going out is just a huge inconvenience!! It has to be a special occasion to get my a$$ out especially since I work at a stupid club

I love bbq's and many times prefer it, people should do that more...our LI friends do it but not queens ppl so much

Yeah! Working at one really kills it for me. Although when I do get to the club I have a great time. Its just the process before getting there thats exhausting for me. As far as bbq's I LOVE THEM too!! And so many of our friends in Astoria have nice backyards but we rarely ever go to any! If I had a backyard I would be throwing BBQ's every weekend! Where I live we have this huge courtyard and back area and were not even allowed. It ***** so bad!
(BTW Sorry Op we completely hijacked the thread )

i know not many astoria ppl have bbq's...i knew one group who ALWAYS had it but thats about it.
Oh yeah garden bay and their rules...you can still have them bc ppl have it all the time but you wouldnt be able to do it in the back...if you do it you can put the bbq more by the sidewalk or on the street where a car would normally be parked and have it in the front yard. It wasnt always like that but there was a fire incident in garden bay and ever since then they started that rule.

Last weekend someone bbqed by the hydrant. i thought there might have been a fire or something. i wish people would have been more careful. DH thought it was cause of the smoke rising into peoples apartments. Buda uses a tiny grill on the grass sometimes. Im sure GB would have a fit but screw them!

its also bc of smoke but the fire incident set it off lol.
Ive seen some who do it and get away with it, i guess as long as you dont get caught.

Re: Bachelorette party in the city
we did this for my bach party. we took teh limo bar hopping in tribeca and the lower east side. We went to a bunch of different bars around there and it was fun. Some of them my sister had planned to go to and some we just saw and went in.

Re: Bachelorette party in the city
I haven't been clubbing in the city lately. we used to go to halo and that was nice. but a few months ago i went to Le Royale and it was fun and funky. good music and cool crowd. def have to make a guest list if you want places that are more fancy i have to hink of other ones. i did my b'day last year at ava lounge and it was really nice. gets crowded though. call around and see if you get any deals for a group of # girls. it's worth it if you can get comped on some bottles or cover, anything helps.
