Bayard arboretum ?

So my FSIL got engaged recently and wants a low-key rustic wedding with a pig roast. She asked me if I knew anything about the arboretum and I didn't so I figured I would ask you lovely ladies!

Does anyone have any info about site fees/permits etc?

Or any other suggestions for the style wedding she wants?

Re: Bayard arboretum ?

Before FH and I moved out of our apartment complex, we met this really nice couple who got married here. They loved it. I just checked their website, and they give a bit of information about the permits and the ceremony. It's probably a starting point.

I also believe there are barns or farms out east that you can have a rustic wedding at.

Bayard arboretum ?

I grew up near the Arboretum -- from what I have heard, for ceremonies on the lawn they don't allow you to have chairs. So everyone has to stand for the ceremony. Or at least they didn't used to. I think someone on one of the bridal shows (Four Weddings, I think?!) got married there, because I remember saying 'I live right there!'.

I took prom pictures there -- its very beautiful. But I'm not sure much in regards to weddings. The link above should help though!

They still don't allow chairs - and the ceremony is a max of 20. So it's very small. But I've heard good things!

Bayard arboretum ?

I was there over the weekend with my lady, checking out the possibility of taking pictures there before the ceremony. They have a sign that among other things says no picinics. I assume that would include a pig roast.

The permit is a $100 plus $8 per vehicle. $75 additional for a bus if I'm not mistaken.

It may not be the perfect location, but before choosing Timberpoint I wanted a rustic wedding and came across

My fiance loved the mansion and your pictures look great. Do you know any of the details regarding the room? I want to look into that for her.

Bayard arboretum ?

I dont know the specifics no - but i do know they were extremely accommodating to my family/bridal party. i also recall seeing a wedding party taking photos in the mansion while we were there, so i know they do allow it.

Bayard arboretum ?

I was just at a bridal showcase at the Old Bethpage Village Restoration. They have a barn there where you can have events. I thought it was really nice. Maybe try there?
