I went to a wedding where the favor was a bottle of beer made by the groom (he was a brewmaster). It was an awesome favor. They made it classy by putting in an organza bag and have a personalized label. Very cool!

I think its a cool idea because its not like a flavor that I can just go out and buy at the supermarket. So I think it takes it out of being lowbrow as you say and a bit more special. If you are concerned that not everyone would like beer maybe you could do some wine ones too and have the guests choose one. And sparkling cider for the kids would be cute. I've seen that online where the bottles look like champagne bottles.

i did pint glasses with a monogram due to my side of the family which doesn't really drink or is into 'beer' but fh's family and for ourselves WE LOVE that favor. Its so cool. Honestly wine is nice but more people are drinking microbrews and specialty brews over wine due to the fact it has more flavor and taste for less money. Even specialty brews that are pricey taste better then certain wines.

i like it but not everyone is into beer...maybe do it as a drink special at the bar? a good beer themed favor that can also be used by non beer drinkers is pilsner glasses with your theme printed on them. my sis did this as favors and they were such a hit! people still say how the glasses are the only ones that they can drop on a floor and they still won't break and they use them all the time. plus they were inexpensive so she bought a bunch of extras and lots of people walked away with doubles, tripples...hell i have like 6 in my house and we use them ALOT.
